THE APOSTOLIC FAITH

For more than 50 years the doors of the Apostolic Faith church which never takes a collection - have swung open to all classes, colors ond nationalities. The high, the low. the rich, the poor hear the funda- mental truths of the Bible pro- claimed by a corps of capable ministers. The Rev. R. Robert Craw- ford, General Overseer, is in charge.

In the heart of downtown Portland, is a soul- saving station - the international headquarters of The Apostolic Faith. "Jesus, the Light of the World," the neon sign with the huge, man-made star above it, is a landmark in the city painting countless thousands to the Savior who can solve their problems. The auditorium seats 1,200 per- sons. Weeknight services are held here.

To the offices on the main floor came letters from 200 foreign lands and islands of the sea. As many as 1,300 letters have been received in one day. Gospel literature is sent, in various lan- guages, ta a mailing list of 75,000.

All Sunday services are held at the Tabernacle. This church, seating 2,400 persons, is situated in a peaceful ten-acre grove af towering fir trees. A beautiful lawn, an illuminated fountain, lily pools, ornamental shrubs, and lovely flowers make this spot one of Portland's laveliest gardens. An annual international campmeeting - convention is held here for three weeks in July.

The "Lower Light"

A 104 - foot motar vessel, the "Lower Light." carries a crew of missionaries to remote communi- ties an Puget Sound and Alaskan waters, spread- ing the Good News of salvation and the warmth of Christian fellowship.

Apostolic Faith Concert Orchestra

A 60-piece concert orchestra and a four-manual pipe organ lead the congregational singing and furnish preludes and special concerts.

Come and Join in Worship

The Apostolic Choristers (50 mixed voices) male quartets, and soloists provide inspirational singing.

Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. at the Tabernocle. Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Weeknights, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:50 at the downtown church.
