Showing the Time of Sun Rising and Setting for any place in the United States.
To find the time of Sun rising or setting for any place in the United States from the annexed Table: Take the latitude of the place on the top, and the sun's declination on the side, under the former and opposite the latter, will give the time of sun setting or rising.
Observe that this Table is calculated for the de- clination of the sun when North, and that when the declination is South, the time of sun rising exhibited in the Table will be time of sun setting ;- also, the time of sun setting will be time of sun rising.
EXAMPLE I.
Required the time of sun rising and setting at Philadelphia, on 20th May.
In the Almanac for the month of May, oppposite 20, the day of the month, and in the column under sun dec. the sun's declination, is 20 1 N. In the an- nexed Table opposite 20 thus found, and under 40, the latitude of Philadelphia, the numbers 7 11 5 are given; that is 7h. 11n1. for sun setting, as marked on the top, and 11 minutes before 5 for sun rising.
EXAMPLE II.
Required the time of sun rising and setting at Philadelphia on the 25th of February .

COURTS IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK.
The Court for the Trial of Impeachments and the Correction of Errors is held in Albany, du- ring the sitting of the state legislature-(and
sometimes, by special statute for that purpose, when the legislature is not in session.)
Supreme Court, (to hear and decide on points of law and practice,) is held at Albany the 3d Monday in February and October, at New York the 1st Monday in May, and at Utica the 1st Monday in August.
Court of Exchequer .- Is held at the same time with the supreme court.
Court of Chancery .- Stated terms at New York, 2d Monday in June, and last in September, at Albany, 3d Monday in January, and 2d in No- vember-alterable at the pleasure of the Chan- cellor.
Circuit Courts-(for the trial of civil causes) and Courts of Oyer and Terminer (for the trial of criminal matters, ) are hield, by statute, in and for the county of Albany on the second Tuesdays in April, and first in October ; and in Rensselaer on the second Tuesdays in July and December.
In the counties of Dutchess and Oneida, the same courts are held twice in each year, and the other counties once in each year, at such time and times as the Supreme Court shall appoint, pro- vided that one term of the supreme court shall intervene between the appointment of such time or times, and provided such time or times shall not be the same with other courts legally ap- pointed to be held in such county.
The Common P'leas and General Sessions are held in the several counties as undermentioned ; excepting that where the name of the month is printed in Italics, the Common Pleas only, is held in that term.
