PINE FOREST INN

SEASON 1905-1906

SUMMERVILLE,

OPEN NOVEMBER TO MAY

S. C.

The Pine Forest Inn Company take pleasure in announcing to former patrons and those who contemplate a sojourn in the South during the Winter 1905-6 that the Inn will open for the coming season with many improvements to the hotel and property that cannot fail to add to the comfort of its guests. Since the close of the house last spring a new addition has been constructed containing several suites of rooms with bath, steam heat, and open fireplaces, and furnished in the luxurious style of other portions of the Inn. An extension enlarges the dining room to double its former size, and provides several smaller dining rooms and a commodious room for balls and en- tertainments. The kitchen facilities are also improved.

The Former Excellent Golf Links have been extended to an eighteen-hole course. Artificial bunkers have been added, and the hazards difficult enough to be interest- ing. The turf is the finest in the South. There is a good club-house situated at the first tree, commanding a view of the entire course. The links will be in charge of a professional instructor, and tournaments will be a feature during the season. The climate of Summerville will admit of playing any day in winter. A fine boulevard leads from the Inn through the park and past the tea and floral gardens of Dr. Charles U. Shepard to the club-house, less than a mile distant.

The Pine Forest Inn hunting Grounds, containing two thousand acres, with its Colonial Club House, and the variety of game with which the preserves are stocked, should be a great attraction for all fond of hunting, &c.

The Owners of the Inn have spared no expense in the equipment of the hotel and providing for the comfort and amusement of guests, and the large patronage enjoyed by the house in past seasons is the best evidence of its popularity. Situated in the middle South, in the dry, fragrant air of the pines, and easy of access from all points, the Pine Forest Inn offers an ideal climate and many advantages not found at other Southern resorts.

PINE FOREST INN COMPANY, Summerville, S. C.
