The narrower streets in the northeastern section of the city are named as follows: Commencing on the north side of South Temple Street, the first street running North (east of State Street), is A street, the second one parallel therewith, B street the next, C, and so on to the eastern limits of the city. The same system of streets at right angles with the above are numbered. The first street north and parallel with South Temple street being First avenue, the next Second avenue, and so on to the northern limits of the city.
Re-naming of Streets
In 1907 a number of streets were re- named, the following rules being observed: All streets less than 132 feet running east and west are called avenues. All duplicate names
