This institution is presided over by Mother Blanche, Mother of the Order of the Little Sisters of the Poor in this city, assisted by five Sisters ; is intended as a home for poor, desti- tute, aged persons, irrespective of sex or religious creeds. It was incorpo- rated April 17. 1974, having been es- tablished by the generous charity of the late W. Shakespear Caldwell. It is supported entirely by donations of the public.
