At a Vestry held for Blisland Parish at the lower Church the 29th. day of July 1776.
Present the Rev. Pryse Davies, Rector, Capt. William Richardson, and Capt. Richmond Allen Church wardens, Major Thruston James, Col. Burwell Bafsett, Capt. James Hockaday, Capt. Edward Power, and M'. William Hankin.
This Vestry proceeds to examine the Addition to the lower Church in this Parish, built by M'. Daniel Lyon, which he agreed with this Vestry to do, and for the per- formance of which entered into Articles of agreement with Col. Burwell Bafsett, and Major Thruston James, the then Church wardens of this Parish the day of 1774. The said Vestry agrees with M'. William Mofs, Executor of the abovesaid Daniel Lyon deceas'd to receive the said Addition; and the said William Mofs agrees to and with the said Vestry, to repaint the inside of the Win- dowsashes, the Door, and Eaves of the said Addition, and to reshingle the the valleys of the Roof if necessary. And the said Vestry agrees that Col. Burwell Bafsett pay the said William Mofs the balance due to the said Daniel Lyon's Estate, for the said Addition.

William Norvel's Accot. for Corn, for) Philarity Jones, and her three children, in 1778, levied in the Churchwarden's hands, till the said Wardens were satis- fied whether the said Philarity Jones be- longed to this Parish, which not being determin'd in 1778, the Collector did not pay, and credited the Parish for in his Accot. £ 18. eight prices being allowed in consideration of depreciation of money in two years, and not being paid when required

This Vestry is adjourned till Wednesday the 3ª. of January next. But, as the militia of James City, and New Kent Counties were called on duty at that time, it prevented the Vestry's meeting till January 30th. the proceed- ings of which, being annexed to this, to con- clude laying the Parish Levy, is carried over
