SELECTMEN'S REPORT OF WORK DONE ON BRIDGES IN YEAR 1908.

Constructed one abutment at Wm. Crahan bridge and put on two steel rails for head blocks.

Laid up one abutment at Whipple Hollow bridge, the two bridges west of Pittsford depot and the Fowler bridge were newly planked.

Laid up two abutments at Fox bridge and laid a 10-foot wing wall. Also made this bridge four feet wider and two feet higher.

6

Raised the Furnace bridge 13 inches and put in two steel rails for head blocks and fixed guide rails.

Put in new stringers in East Pittsford bridge.

Newly planked McDonald bridge.

Put what planks were necessary in all bridges in town where such were needed. Fixed the guide wall on arch of Cotting bridge and used 2,100 lbs. of cement.

We also have about 2,000 feet of hemlock plank on hand not used.

Respectfully submitted.
