ANNUAL TOWN REPORT

WARNING


The legal voters of the Town of Vershire and of the School District of the Town of Vershire are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Town Hall on Tuesday, the 7th day of March 1950 at 10 o'clock A. M. to transact the following business, viz:


Article 1. To elect a Moderator:


Article 2. To elect a Town Clerk.


Article 3. To hear and act upon the report of the Auditors. Article 4. To vote upon the question: "Shall the Selectmen be empowered to appoint one or two Road Commissioners or shall one or two Road Commissioners be elected by ballot ?"


Article 5. To elect all other necessary town officers.


Article 6. To see if the town will vote to place its taxes in the hands of the Town Treasurer for collection; the time of pay- ment and the rate of discount to be allowed.


Article 7. To see how much the town will raise for sup- port of schools.


Article 8. To raise money to support the poor, defray or- dinary expenses and bridge and highway expenses under the ' direction of the Selectmen.


Article 9. To see how much money the town will raise for unselected roads.


Article 10. To raise money for County tax.


Article 11. To see how much money the town will raise for resurfacing and to take advantage of State Aid laws.


Article 12. To see if the town will vote to employ the ser- vices of an Accountant from the office of the State Auditor of Accounts.


Article 13. To see if the town will vote to deduct a percent from all orders of delinquent taxpayers to apply on their taxes.


Article 14. Shall license for the sale of malt and vinous beverages be granted in this town ?


Shall spirituous liquors be sold in this town ? Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to make a donation to Thetford Academy - either through it's school funds or through it's General Fund.


Article 16. To do any other necessary business.
