Rev. James Billington, born at Cambridge Heath, London, England, April 20, 1834. Studied theology at Gresham College, London and privately. Ordained at Hackney, London, June 10, 1866. Pastor at Falkenham, Suffolk, and at various London churches to 1891. Pastor in Canada of Free Baptist churches. Returning to Cong. ministry, pastor at Albany, June 1904 to April 1906; Allendale and Bass River Mich., 1906-8; Fremont, Ind., 1908-9. Made his home thereafter in Indianapolis, Ind., where he died of old age, May 21, 1922, leaving a widow.
Rev. William Carr, born in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland, Jan. 15, 1845. Came to America in 1853. Dartmouth College, 1875; Yale Divinity School, 1878. Pastor at Irasburg, Feb. 1879 to May 1883, being ordained there Sept. 1, 1880; Sheldon, March 1883 to July 1885 (and Franklin, May 1883 to Jan. 1885) ; Sec- ond church, Brookfield, July 1885 to Nov. 1889. Then resided in West Hartford, Conn., and finally in New Haven, Conn., where he died Oct. 30, 1922 of old age, leaving a widow.
