Is on the S. D., C. & E. Ry, 15 miles north-east of San Diego, in El Cajon valley, one of the finest in Southern California, a rich agricultural and fruit growing section. It is noted for its many large raisin vinyards and orchards. The best raisins on the market are grown in El Cajon valley, also some of the finest orchards are found here. ELSINORE.


Sometimes called the "Lake City of Southern California" from the beautiful sheet of water near which it is built. Lake Elsi- nore is five miles long and about two miles wide. The resources of the Elsinore colony are very extensive and diversified. Coal in abundance is found near the city, and from one to three car loads are shipped from the station daily. The Southern Califor- nia Coal & Clay Co has one of the largest sewer and water pipe factories on the coast near Elsinore. The famous Hot Sulphur Springs rival the best in the world. It is a great horticultural center. Gold and silver mining is growing in importance. The station is about two miles from the city. It is one of the busiest stations on the road and is 96 miles from Los Angeles and 86 miles from San Diego
