AROMATIQUE
FINEST STOMACH CORDIAL. Prepared by THEO. LAPPE, Neudietendorf, Germany.
BEWARE OF IMITATIONS.
Aechter AROMATIQUE Feinster Magen-Uqueur
Alleiniger Inhaber der Firma:J. Lappe Apothekenbesitzer HEUDIETENDORE Sydney 178. Rail etfs.ItU. Porto Alegre 1881 SHb.Med.
SOLE AGENTS FOR
Pommery Sec, Gilka Kimmel, Stomatique Cordial, Dubos Freres, Bordeaux.
The AROMATIQUE is a preparation, made of the finest herbs and drugs, for more than half a century favor- ably known and accepted by the Public and the Medical Profession throughout Germany and other continental1 countries, as well as in the United States and the British Colonies.
The Gold, Silver and other Medals and the Certificates received from the highest professional authorities guar- antee the value of this CORDIAL as a TONIC for general use, and as inestimable in cases of LOSS of APPETITE, DYSPEPSIA, FLATULENCY, DIARRHEA, etc. A small glassfull taken will soon show its beneficial effects.
It is also highly recommendable for mixing with WINES, LIQUORS and MINERAL WATER, and a small quantity of it added will give the beverage a fine and deli- cate flavor.
The AROMATIQUE has received a large number of TESTIMONIALS from medical men of the highest order, of which a few read as follows :
I have carefully analysed the " AROMATIC BITTERS" Liqueur prepared by TH. LAPPE. It consists of a very deli- cate and agreeabie combination of diffusible aromatic tonics which are admirably adapted to promote appetite and di- gestion, being Quite free from the objectionable coarse bit- ters commonly sold as such. These bitters supply a want iong feit in this country, namely, as a harmless and pleas- ant dietetic stimulant for every day use.
I am faithfully yours,
H. C. BARTLETT,
London. Ph. D. F. C. S.
I have subjected the " AROMATIQUE " to a thorough ana- lytico-chemical pharmalogical examination, and have found it to satisfy ali scientific requirements, being prepared ac- cording to correct and scientific principles. Physicians may recommend it without hesitation, and the public may at all times use it as a most excellent dietary preparation.

Approved Apothecary of the first class, ex- amining chemist and scientific expert for medical, technical and chemical articles of every kind.
I can recommend these exceedingly efficacious stomach bitters as a most invigorating as well as biood-purifying
preparation which has the power of stimulating and strengthening the impaired activity of the digestive organs. DR. MED. GROVEN, Surgeon of the Staff in the Royal Reserve Hospital. Langensaiza, Prussia. .
The "AROMATIQUE " is composed only of harmiess veg- etable substances, and I highly recommend it in ail dis- orders of the stomach and liver. [L. S.]
Neudietendorf. DR. JACOBI.
I have known the " AROMATIQUE" for the past forty years, and on account of its ingenious composition it has become a public favorite, and can justiv be recommended as an eminentis useful as weil as niceiy flavored preparation. [L. S.] DR. E. H. NICOLAI.
Arnstadt.
The "AROMATIQUE" has been used for years by many physicians with great success in weakness of the stomach and digestive organs, and also aa a prophylactic against epidemic diseases.

RAILROAD LANDS IN CALIFORNIA.
The attention of all heads of families or others contemplating permanent settlement in the West is called to the extraordinary offers now being made by the
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANIES
IN
CHOICE FARMING AND FRUIT AND VINEYARD LANDS
Lying adjacent to the railroad in all the principal counties of the State, which are unex- celled in climate, healthfulness, productiveness of soil and accessibility of market, and include
The Best Wheat, Fruit, Grazing, Vineyard and Timber Lands in America
Adapted to all purposes of profitable agriculture, and may be had in tracts of 40 acres or upward, at prices ranging from $1.50 to $35 per acre, according to quality, location and ac- cessibility to the main line of either road.
These lands will increase in value annually. Already thousands of heads of families have purchased lands along the Central and Southern Pacific Railroads, and have erected thereon splendid farms and homesteads, while many hold lands that they purchased a few years ago for from $2.50 to $20 per acre at from $25 to $250 per acre for speculative purposes.
Almost everywhere throughout the counties named, no snow, and only an occasional frost, that does no harm, is ever seen. There is really NO WINTER WEATHER in the valleys of California, and not one home in one hundred ever has a fire except for culinary purposes. The summer weather is never oppressive, as in the Eastern or Southern States, while the nights are cool the year round.
Every person contemplating permanent settlement west of the Alleghany Mountains should, before applying elsewhere, call upon or address either

Tourists visiting this State cannot find a more beautiful and diversified trip. The steamers leave the ferry slip at the foot of Market street for Saucelito, the only seaside Resort where good bathing, boating and fishing can be found. The route from here runs along Richardson's Bay to the base of Mount Tamalpais, one of the features surrounding the Bay of San Francisco. Stopping at the station named after the moun- tain, the traveler will find teams ready to take him up to the top of this giant, from which a magnificent view of the Farallone Islands and the Pacific Ocean can be had. Three and a half miles from this station are the far-famed Fairfax Picnic Grounds; thence in three quarters of an hour Camp Taylor is reached, where all facilities, including Dancing Hall and Bowling Alley for Camping and Picnic Parties, can be found. From this point to Point Reyes Station, a distance of eight miles, splendid trout streams abound, on whose banks most beautiful spots for private camps cau be found. The route then skirts for a distance of sixteen miles the Bay of Tomales, which is covered with all kinds of wild fowl. The hills sur" rounding this town (Tomales) are one vast potato field, until nearly reaching Valley Ford, which town is situated in the grain district of the county ; thence to Freestone, which is the beginning of the great Redwood Forests; thence along to Howard's Station, from which is shipped an immense quantity of bark and wood; thence along Russian River to Duncan's Mills; thence to Ingrams, which is the present terminus of the road, and one of the loveliest spots in the State, the climate being as soft and mild as that of southern France.
The Hotels and cottages are kept by old experienced hotelkeepers, thereby assuring every comfort and attention to the traveler.
