Is situated in the South Western portion of Lake County, California, seven miles hi of Clear Lake, at an elevation of about 1700 feet above sea level. There are thirty mineral springs varying in temperature from ice cold to 90° Farenheit, the waters hich are different and comprise almost all known mineral waters.

The springs are within a radius of a few hundred yards, making them all easy of ss from the hotel, and are situated at the upper end of Big Valley, at the base of the t Range Mountains. To the north and east there is an almost level stretch to Clear e, while on the south and west the mountains reach an altitude of 3,000 feet or more. The hotel, cottages, baths and springs are situate on the banks of Highland Creek, a pretty, level plateau covered with oak, pine and other shade trees in unlimited ber. There is also an abundance of pure, fresh water brought upon the grounds ipes from the adjacent mountains.

There has been built during the past winter a large and commodious hotel and one of finest dining rooms north of San Francisco. The grounds have been thoroughly red, and every precaution taken to make the sanitary conditions as nearly perfect ossible.

The rooms in the new hotel are large, airy and light, hard finished and equipped the latest and best of furnishing, and every facility secured to make the place first- in all its appointments,

The climate is mild and pleasant, free from fog and disagreeable winds, and cannot urpassed anywhere in California, if in the world.

One of the many great advantages of this resort is its central location and easy ss, being only twelve miles from Pieta, on the San Francisco and North Pacific road, from which is one of the best roads in the State, passing through a picturesque beautiful country, so that the ride is a pleasure instead of a hardship.

The stage service on this route is first-class in all its appointments, and equal to any he Pacific Coast. Private conveyances can be had from the Springs upon applicatiou persons not desiring to travel by stage.

From the Springs trips to and return are made with ease in a day to all the cipal springs and resorts in Lake County, while the trip to and upon Clear Lake is of the grandest and most beautiful in the United States, comparing favorably with trips upon any of the renowned lakes of Europe.

Guests at this resort can take outings with ease and comfort to all points of interest ake County, while trout fishing, deer hunting and bird shooting can be had to the t's content in the immediate neighborhood. There is connected with the resort a class livery stable, so that a trip here means every facility and convenience for ig Lake County, America's greatest Sanitarium, in all its beauty and magnificence. With the new improvements just completed, the comforts and accommodations are l to any resort in the State, and it is the purpose of the management to so conduct same as to make it

both health and pleasure seekers, a safe and reasonable place for persons to send r families for summer or winter, with assurance that every attention and care will hown them.

We make our table a special feature. It is always supplied with the best that the ket affords, and upon that point we invite comparison and criticism.

We refer with confidence to all persons who have been guests of this resort during past two years.

Other Improvements .- There has also, within the last year, been completed a fine e dancing hall and opera house ; also a boating lake, which is well stocked with ce:fish. There is also a general merchandise store for the accommodation of ts and campers.

The Springs can be reached from any point on the Southern Pacific route by way of stoga, thence by stage direct from Calistoga to the Springs. Also by the Donahue e from San Francisco by way of Pieta, thence by stage direct to the Springs.

For routes and distances, examine map. The road over which parties now travel Pieta, has recently been built at a cost of upwards of thirty thousand dollars, is of the prettiest turnpikes on the Pacific Coast, the grade on which in no place eds six feet in one hundred. The stage lines are the best equipped and handled in existence. The scenery, varied and pleasant.

Passengers by way of the Donahue route, from San Francisco, only have about six s' travel to reach the Springs. (OVER)

R., $4.50 single trip; $8.00 for round trip.

Drink " DUTCH " or " EMMS " for liver, dropsical or malarial troubles. SELTZER for kidney, bladder, gravel, stone in the bladder, dyspepsia and indigestion. NEPTUNE for constipation and chronic diarrhea. MAGIC for rheumatism and weak stomach. Arsenie for general debility. Dead Shot for aggravated constipation. Excursions Mondays, Wed- nesdays and Fridays. Rates to Blue Lakes, Sieglers, Adams or Howard Springs and return, ten or more, $1.50 each. To Lakeport, Indian Mission or Soda Bay and return, $1.25. Gentle saddle ponies for children, 25 ets. an hour; $1.00 a day. Fresh milk and cream in abundance. Parties with children can have the milk of one cow if desired.

It is the purpose of the new management to afford all the attention and courtesies possible to guests, and they will please report at the office any inattention on the part of employees. We intend to supply the table with everything the market affords, and make the service first-class in all its appointments. Fine boating, bathing and fishing. Bathing suits at the office.
