HAROLD B. LEE LIBRARY BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY.
INTRODUCTORY 1915
I present this, the forty-third edition of the Denver City Directory. It has the advantage of the experience of a competent and experienced corps of skilled directory makers, and it is issued with the confidence that it is equal to any similar publication in existence. The Directory has kept pace with this city. It has grown and improved from year to year, and, like the metropolis which it represents, it is an up-to-date and reliable exponent of the citizens, their institutions and organizations.
The success of a community is measured by its growth and population. It is a highly important matter to know whether a city is growing or decreasing in population. The Directory is an infallible indication of the city's growth or decrease, as the case may be.
This volume shows that the city has not only held its own in popula- tion, but progressed in material wealth, in the beauty of its homes, its streets and public buildings, and in all things that tend to convenience in business and to pleasure in life. Its growth and increase, and its reputa- tion and conditions, are attracting men of wealth and culture, who are daily locating in Denver on account of its unequaled educational facilities, its invigorating and healthful climate, the beauty of its dwelling districts, the opportunity for investment and profit, the culture of its society, and many means offered for recreation and amusement.
It is a city of high ideals, without slums, without poverty, a city with large manufacturing and commercial institutions, splendid schools and churches, beautiful homes, magnificent streets and prosperous suburbs.
. Thanking the public for their liberal support and co-operation to make a work of this kind possible.
Very respectfully yours,
WILL H. RICHARDS.
