PASS-A-GRILL
This beautiful little island city is rapidly coming to the fore, encouraged no doubt by the wonderful growth of St Petersburg. Facing the broad sweep of the Gulf, its beaches and bathing are the equal of any on the famed East Coast. Transportation is very efficient, a boat line connecting at Gulfport with the electric car from St Petersburg every hour, also two all-water routes, one from St Peters- burg and the other from Tampa and Manatee River points. Pass-A-Grill is quite proud of the fact that it was the first municipality to adopt the Commission form of Government. The hotel accommodations are excellent and reasonable in price and a great many attractive homes have been built during the last year. Estimated population 200

Stability zu Permanency
Do you realize that a City Directory advertisement is a testimonial to the per- manency, the stability, of the advertiser?
That's the sort of concern all of us want to patronize, because we know when they sell us merchandise they are behind it in every way, today, tomorrow, and for the years to come.
"Fly-by-night," "fire-sale" and other temporary or "get-rich-quick" concerns rarely appear in the City Direc- tory.
And it is a noteworthy fact that the concerns which advertise one year in the city directory are there again next year. 90% of directory advertising is renewed.
Directory advertising, is profitable. In connection with the class- ified business headings it is doubly effective.
May we explain how and why it will pay you?

Tarpon Springs, Florida
Tarpon Springs, the second largest city in Pinel- las County, is situated on the beautiful winding An- clote River four miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Bordeding on four bays and with the Anclote River flowing northwest, navigable for all kinds of pieas- ure vessels, the sport is ideal for the boating and fishing enthusiasts. Two miles east of Tarpon Springs lies Lake Butler, nine miles long by one and one-half miles wide, teeming with fish and sur- rounded by hills and pine trees making an excellent camping spot. Salt Lake lies to the northeast of the city and abounds with salt water bass and perch. At the foot of Tarpon av a pure medicinal spring gushes forth which is famed for its healing qualities and is free to all. Starting from the spring and winding around the bayou is a beautiful cement boulevard, dotted here and there with picturesque boat houses and handsome residences. With the addition of two new hotels this year, Tarpon Springs is well equipped to take care of all who desire to visit here.
Tarpon Springs is lighted with electricity, has water works and an excellent sewerage system. The streets are paved with vitrified brick and the roads are fine for automobiling. to Tampa 27 miles to the southeast, or St Petersburg 31 miles south
The principal industry is the sponge fishing and the river shows very animated scene when the large fleet of vessels laden with sponges come to port
To prove that Tarpon Springs is in a flourishing condition and growing rapidly, it is only necessary to compare the present population of 2,920 with the 1910 U S Census
Respectfully, R. L. POLK & Co.
