First ward includes all that part of the city located within the follow- ing boundaries : Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Green street, in said city, with the eastern line of the city limits of said city, extending thence west along the center line of Green street to the center line of Broad street, to the enter line of Main street, thence northwest along the center line of Main street to the center line of Central avenue, thence north along the center line of Central avenue to the center line of Griggs street, thence west along the center line of Griggs street to the center line of West avenue, thence north along the center line of West avenue to the northern line of the city limits of said city, thence east along the northern limits of said city, thence to the line of the eastern limits thereof, thence south along the eastern limits of said city to the place of beginning.
