Bank, of Chicago, continuing until Jan., 1903, when he was elected its pres .; resigned June 1, 1908, to accept office of vice pres. State Bank of Chicago, and in May, 1909, was elected its pres. Pres. Chicago Clearing House Assn., 1911-12. Was elected city treas. of Marion, at age of 21, and mayor at age of 23; reëlected 2 yrs. later.
