appointed Precicont (pro tom) untill Father ho fy the Chairan ci. c should arrive, Dro. Nevin was also a pointsa secretary, Meeting opened by Reading and Prayer after which the minutes of the process ing meeting was read and approved.
On motion the following committee was appo nted to arrange th order of business for the meeting. Bros. Bowers, Jack, : Young. They reported as follows, 1St, the Bretheren to take into consider ation the propriety of organizing a Church of Christ at Concord . 2nd, financial report should be made, on motion the report was re- ceived.
On motion the second item of business was brought forward to be acted on first .. It was moved and seconded that the subscription list as reported and adopted in June last, and it was amended by Bro. Jack that it stand untill our next business meeting, which was adopted.
On motion the second order of business was reported by the secre- tary. Father Ashby arose and stated the cause and reason why he thot necessary to organize a Church in Concord. Bro. Bowers then arose and made some remarks on the propriety of them organizing at Concord but was noncommital after several remarks by the bretheren the question was put and caried in the affernation. 1
It was moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn to meet on th first Saturday in March at eleven O'Clock A. M. which motion was caried.

Pursuant to previous adjournment, the members met at the 1 Christian Church on Saturday the 6th of March at 110 Closk A.M. On motion Bro. Murphy was called to the chair, and Bro S. B. Short- ridge appointed Secretary for the present meeting, On motion a committee was appointed by the chair to, arrange the business for the meeting. The following members constituted that committee. Joel Fu Fuller was appointed Elder. It was moved and seconded that Bro. Murphy be appointed Deacon, this motion was amended by adding Bro. levin also, The amendment with the original was carried.

Nevin was appointed to discharge this duty . It was moved and seconded that broth Fuller, ordained in set apart as Elder, by laying on of hands on Monday after the second Lords Day in April. (caried)

Bowers offered the following Resolution, Whereas the cif tizens on the other side of the Prairie, near the mouth of Laur- mie are asking Preaching, therefore Resolve that we defray the ex- pense of one meeting at this piont. (Caried) Secondly, Whereas we have been accustomed to having Preaching twice on L ords Day in the Summer, Therefore be it Resolved that we have preaching once on the Lords Day through the coming Summer, (Lost)
The following Resolution was offered and adopted. Ist Resolu - tion, that our Deacons be empowered by the Church to assess and collect money sufficient to defray the expenses incured by the 9/ Church, 2ndly Resolve that such assessments be made on the ? system. Hoved and seconded that we adjourn to meet on Saturday, before the first Lords Day in June at 1 Oc. P. M.

B. Shortridge. The committee reported the following Ist The ing- debtness of the Church. 2nd To rais money to pay Bro. Bowers for money paid out of his own pocket on the Church flues. 4th Resolve that Bro. Bowers be appointed a committee of one to confer with 77 some minister.
1859, Business continued.
The first Resolution was brot up and several plans being offered for to raise means to clear the Church of debt, the following was agreed upon. Resolved that each member being the head of a family be taxed two dollars and the single members, one dollar. It was moved and seconded, that the Church Treasurer pay Bro. Bower six dollars out of the Church fund, which motion was caried.
Moved and seconded that Brother Bowers be appointed a committe of one to confer with some preacher to try if possible to procure preaching. Resolution.
Whereas Brother Young time will expire on the 18th Inst. for taking care of the meeting house therefore, Resolve that he be requested to take it for another year at the same he received for this year

Borers was appointed to the chair and Bro. levin Sec. After reading a portion of the scrip_ ture by the president, the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
On motion the chair appointed a committee to prepare business & for the meeting, Committee consisted of the following Bretheren, Father Ashby, Bro. Crist, Fuller and Young.
Bro. Murphy made report of the business on which he had been appointed. On motion and at his own request a further time of two weeks was allowed him. On notion Bros. Ashby and Crist made stat- ments respecting their Congregations.
On motion a letter was ordered to be written t o Bro. Jameson with a view of having him preach for us at his earliest conveni- ence, and to make arrangements with him for one year. On motion Beo. Bowers was appointed on this business.
