Rin 6th /month The Book and Tract Committee produced the following report, which was satisfactory to the meeting, the committee were continued to the service and directed to report in 6th Month next, Report to the Monthly Meeting We have endeavored to give attention to the object of our appointment, Have raised through the aid of Women Friends $320 ts to aid the Central Book and Tract Committee since last x and received in the way of Tracts about 7lls 6 ounces or 4 4 86 pages of Tracts which have been distributed, Also about 196 Juvenile Books for the use of our First day Scripture school pupils, By examination we find the Libraries in pretty fair condition, those at the County jail and alms house are reported by the managers as being well read, the loans at those two Libraries are not kept- the others report 38 loans the past year, West Branch not heard from. We have Lately changed the Books in the different meetings thereby to secure more reading, and placed a few of them at Island Grave which has hitherto not been furnished.
