HOFFMAN'S PATENT
BAND SAW - MILL
FOR SAWING LOGS.
Among the many advantages this Mill has over Circular and Mulay Mills we mention :
Ist .- SAVING OF LUMBER. Ordinary saws cut five-sixteenths of an inch saw-kerf; our Band Saw takes ONE-TWELFTH. This makes a saving - of 229 feet of lumber on each 1,000 feet of inch boards sawed.
2d .- SAVING OF POWER. Twelve-horse power will cut 8,000 feet of lumber per day.
3d .- MAKING BETTER LUMBER.
4th .- FREEDOM FROM DANGER.
We are also prepared to furnish our Improved Patent BAND SAW MACHINES FOR SCROLL SAWING. A Mill and the small Machines can be seen in operation at our Factory in Fort Wayne. Manufactured only by J. R. HOFFMAN & CO., Fort Wayne, Ind.
