Book-keeping is taught as a real living record of actual transactions by a practical book-keeper.


The students are required to regard themselves as actually taking part in the various kinds of Business represented, and therefore as per- sonally interested in book-keeping as applied in its various forms to Wholesale and Retail Merchandising, Jobbing and Importing, Commis- sion, Forwarding Agency, Banking, Brokerage and Exchange Business.


ACTUAL BUSINESS.


In this part of the Course the student fills minor and important posi - tions in our regular Commission House, Jobbing House, Transportation Office, Wholesale Department and College Bank. He orders and fills orders, buys and sells according to the daily market and stock reports; thus performing a volume of business with a degree of reality that would astonish many of our most successful business men.
