For conveying children between five and fourteen years of age, half the above price may be charged for like dis- tanees, but for children under five years of age no charge shall be made, unless such child is the only passenger, in which case full charge may be made.


The distance from any railroad depot or hotel to any other railroad or hotel shall, in all cases, be estimated as not exceeding one mile.
