Letter rate of postage to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales is 2 cents an ounce or fraction of an ounce.


Letter rate of postage to Germany is 2 cents an onulice of fraction of an ounce for letters dispatched on ships going direct to that country. If it is desired to dis- patch letters on first ship going via England or France, the regular international rate will apply. viz: 5 eents for the first ounee or fraction of an ounce, and 3 cents for each additional ounce or fraction of an ounce. The new letter rate does not affect the rate of postage on cards to these countries.


Registration-Valuable letters to any part of the United States and Canada and the Universal Postage Union will be registered on application, for which a charge of 8 cents (in addition to postage) will be made.
