These grounds, now the property of Bela C. Kent, Esq., are situ- ated about one mile north of the court house, on the Charlestown Road, and on the line of the New Albany and Chicago Rail Road. They comprise an area of about seventy-four acres, and contain one of the best mile tracks in America. The grounds are supplied with a good hotel, a dance-hall 150 feet by 50, a fine amphitheatre build- ing, together with all necessary stables, sheds and pens for live stock
