THE KANSAS MUTUAL

LIFE INSURANCE

TOPEKA, COMPANY KANSAS.

HOME OFFICE, 701-703 JACKSON STREET.

REGISTERED POLICIES

This Company issues modern, up-to-date, attract- ive Ordinary Life, 10, 15, and 20 Payment Life, and 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 Year Endowment Pol- icies, with definite surrender values. It has re- cently gotten up a very fine investment policy known as THE TEN-YEAR GOLD BOND.

A WESTERN COMPANY. A HOME COMPANY. A REGULAR LEGAL RESERVE OLD LINE COMPANY. A PURELY MUTUAL COMPANY.

T HE STATE OF KANSAS is trustee for all the policy- holders of this Company. Its policies are all reg- istered in the office of the State Superintendent of Insurance; and the State Treasurer actually holds on deposit, in approved interest-bearing securities, every dollar of the reserve ( the liability to policy- holders). By the registration and deposit system of the Kansas Laws, under which The Kansas Mutual Life operates, the seenrity to the policy-holder is equal and quite similar to that placed on National Bank notes by the United States Treasury Department. As that department holds in trust for the note-holders the bonds deposited by the bank, so the Treasury Department of the State of Kansas holds in trust for the policy-holders the securities deposited by The Kansas Mutual Life Insurance Company, thus making every policy as secure as a National Bank note. All policies issued by The Kansas Mutual Life Insurance Company are non-forfeit- able after three years, and contain liberal provisions for loan, cash, paid-up, and extended insurance values, thirty days' grace for payment of premiums, privilege to insured of changing beneficiary, freedom of travel, and other attract- ive features. TO THE PUBLIC : -

The above company have located their Kansas Department in the Central National Bank Building, Topeka, and are doing a business in this State far in excess of their expectations.

These bonds give an unconditional guarantee of the return of the face value in gold coin, together with all the accumulations from lapses in the reserve and savings fund and interest thereon.

Among the Directors are found the following well-known men: Leslie M. Shaw, Governor of Iowa; Geo. L. Dobson, ex-Secretary of State; Geo. E. Pearsall, Cashier Citizens National Bank, Des Moines; D.
