First Precinct- All that part of the city bounded as follows : Beginning at intersection of Topeka avenue and the north line of the Douthitt tract, thence westerly on north line of Douthitt Place No. 1 and Douthitt street to the west end of Douthitt street, thence southerly to Piercy street, thence westerly on Piercy and Walnut streets to Boswell street, thence southerly to Euclid avenue, thence easterly to Boiles avenue, thence southerly to the city limits, thence easterly on city limits to Topeka avenue, thence northerly to the point of beginning.
Second Precinct- All that part of the city bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection of Shunganunga creek and Eleventh street extended, thence westerly on Eleventh street to Kansas avenue, thence southerly to Fourteenth street, thence westerly to the northeast corner of the Douthitt tract, thence southerly on the east line of the Douthitt tract to Seventeenth street, thence westerly to Topeka avenue, thence southerly to Twenty-first street, thence easterly and northerly, following the city limits to the intersection of Sixteenth street and Shunganunga creek, thence northerly in the channel of said creek to point of beginning.
Third Precinct - All that part of the city lying south of Eighth avenue east, and boundcd on the west as follows : Beginning at the intersection of Eighth avenue and Jefferson street, thence south on Jefferson to Eleventh street, thence east to Shunganunga creek, thence southerly on said creek to the city limits north of Sixteenth street.
SIXTH WARD (Two Precincts).
First Precinct - All that part of the city lying west of Lane street and north of Eighth avenue. Second Precinct - All that part of the Sixth Ward lying south of Eighth avenue west.

Cemeteries.
Catholic Cemetery. The last resting-place of persons of the Catholic faith is located three miles west of the city, on the Tenth avenue road.
Foster Cemetery. On the Burlingame road, about three miles southwest of the city.
Jewish Cemetery. Adjoining the Topeka Cemetery, on East Eighth avenue. It was located in 1860, and interments in it are confined to Israelites.

Mount Hope Cemetery Association. Located west of " Martin's Hill," about four miles west of the city.
Ritchie Cemetery. This cemetery is truly "God's Acre," and is situated south of the city. In early days the ground was donated by Colonel Ritchie for the purpose of supplying a last resting- place free to all desiring to avail themselves of its benefits.
Rochester Cemetery. Situated two miles north west of the city. This cemetery is used mostly for interment of citizens residing in the country and in the First Ward of the city.
Topeka Cemetery. The oldest cemetery in the neighborhood of Topeka; lies on the nearest high ground, in the southeast part of the city, between Eighth and Twelfth avenues.
