TRUSSES,

A large assortment of best patterns from which to select, to meet the requirements 'of each

case. If convenient, persons requiring Trusses should call at our establishment. where they can have a suitable Truss carefully fitted by a competent and experienced person familiar with the anatomy of hernia. When a call in person is impracticable, a careful description should be sent, stating whether the rupture is on the right or left side; also the measure around the person, two inches below the top of the hip bone. If the rupture is at the navel, the measure should be around the body at the navel. N. B .- Ladies attended by those of their own sex.

"The Committee have no hesitation in awarding for this superb exhibition the highest premium. * * * The various other instruments for inhalation of atomized liquids, and for Local Anæsthesia, were all apparently faultless, both in design and workmanship. 'T'he exhibi- tors are regarded as more especially deserving of the highest token of merit for having pro- duced nothing except their own manufacture.

PREFACE.

IN presenting to our patrons and the general public this edition of the WALTHAM CITY DIRECTORY -NO. 10 of the regular series - we would express the hope that it may meet every reason- able expectation. It is scarcely necessary to state that the difficul- ties and expenses attending the compilation of such a work are very great, and not to be appreciated by any one unfamiliar with the business. The Directory business, like every other, is peculiar to itself.

It will be our constant and earnest endeavor, to give to our patrons, and the general public a book that shall be a credit to us and an indispensable benefit to them. No facility which experience can suggest or money may procure will be spared. We trust and shall expect that the citizens of this beautiful city will give us their most generous support. Let it be remembered that our interests are identical.

Our sincere thanks are extended to all who have aided our canvassers in the collection of information for the present number.

The following synopsis is appended :
