care of the various business of our committee. The board feels that the playing field has been kept in good condi- tion and has been enjoyed by players, school children and sport fans alike in the past year. This coming season we will endeavor to keep the field in a fine condition so that the town will be proud of their playground.
The bleachers were painted in the spring to protect them from the weather, also the childrens' playground equipment has been painted and repaired.
We trust that the people of the town will be pleased with the work down on the Playground during 1949 and ask for your support during 1950.
Respectfully submitted,
GEORGE STEVENS, MERRILL SMITH, GEORGE CURRIER, GEORGE NICHOLS, LEON DOW,

REPORT OF THE CEMETERY TRUSTEES
The following report is submitted by the Trustees of cemeteries for the year of 1949.
Much of the equipment in the department was worn out and we replaced it with modern tools. We also had the cemeteries limed and a lot of the trees that were unsafe in Locust Grove and Church Street Cemeteries removed. We are in hopes of putting a proper drain system on the hill in Locust Grove Cemetery and start a new road over the hill in the year of 1950.
We feel that we have shown the citizens of the Town better improvements and hope to get their support in the Town Meeting for what we want to do in 1950. There- fore, we are asking for our usual appropriation for the upkeep of the cemeteries in 1950 and an additional appro- priation for the new road and drain system.
Respectfully submitted, ARTHUR D. LOCKWOOD. CLIFTON V. BIXBY, CECIL E. WELCH,
Trustees of Cemeteries
