REPORT OF THE PLAYGROUND COMMISSION FOR THE YEAR 1955
To the Citizens of the Town of Merrimac:
The Playground Commission wishes to make this re- port of the playground for "55".
Through the combined efforts of local carpenters and business men we were able to install dugouts at the Little League baseball field. Many thanks to, Ralph Buzzell, George Lay, Merrimac Builders, Merrimac Hardware, Diamond Match, Richard Sargent, for material to build with. Also the carpenters that worked with George Buzzell to build them. Thanks to anyone else who assisted in this project.
In the Spring when the lumber is seasoned and dry Frank Hoyt has said he would paint them, thanks to him too.
M. B. Smith
Supervised play was conducted for the second year, this year in addition to the two regular instructors two assistants were assigned to aid in dividing the groups at various types of play.
