Meeting called to order at 7:35 o'clock P. M. by Moderator Eaton who read the call for the meeting and the Constable's return. Reading of Articles by consent of meeting omitted.
Article 1. To act upon the reports of town officers as published.
On motion by C. F. Young.
Voted: That the reports of Town Officers as published be accept- ed and laid upon the table.
Article 2. To choose all town officers not required to be chosen by ballot.
On motion by C. F. Young.
Voted: That a committee of five be appointed to bring in nomina- tions for all Town Officers not required to be chosen by ballot.
Article 3. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in antici- pation of the revenue of the financial year, beginning January 1, 1927, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said financial year.
On motion by A. H. Boardman
Voted: That the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Select- men, be and hereby is authorized to borrow money on and after January 1, 1927, in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1927, and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year, any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1927.
Article 4. To determine how much money the town will raise and appropriate for General Government, Protection of Persons and Prop- erty, Health and Sanitation, Highways, Charities and Soldiers' Benefits,

TOWN OF WAKEFIELD
Resolution
By consent of the meeting the following Resolution was presented by M. E. S. Clemons.
Resolved: That the town hereby votes to contribute to the Metro- politan Park Commission so much of the land of the Town as may be included within the location of the proposed parkway from South Street, Stoneham to Albion Street in Wakefield passing a little westerly of Crystal Lake and through Nelly Street for the nominal sum of $1.00.
Article 5. To receive and act on the final report of the High School Building Committee.

Voted: That the subject matter of this article be laid upon the table for one week.
Article 6. To hear and act upon the report of the Franklin School Addition Building Committee.
Dr. C. E. Montague submitted the report as printed on Page 158 of the town report as the final report of the committee.
Voted: That the report as printed be accepted.
Article 7. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of eight hundred dollars, to erect a tablet in the corridor of the Town Hall as a memorial to the men of Wak find who lost their lives in the Civil War, the Spanish War and the World War .- Edward J. Gihon.
On motion of Finance Committee as amended
Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $800 to carry out the purposes of Article 7 and that the original committee be instructed to carry out the purposes of the article.
Article 8. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum uf $4,538.38 to make up a deficit in the 1924 Overlay of that amount, or what it will do about it .- Harry A. Simonds, Town Accountant.

Voted : That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $4,538.38 to carry out the purposes of Article 8.

Article 9. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $5,000.00 with interest at 6% from May 1st, 1923, and pay that amount to James R. Reid for loss sustained by him on account of the fail- ure of the town to license the operation of a slaughter house owned by James R. Reid .- James R. Reid and others.

Voted : That the subject matter of this article be indefinitely postponed. A motion by C. F. Young that the vote under Artible 9 be reconsidered was lost.

Voted: That the town authorize the Municipal Light Department to transfer from its operating account to its construction account the sum of $31,795.30.

Article 11. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for nursing, the same to be expended under the direction of the Selectmen, and paid to the Wakefield Visiting Nurse Association, in aid of its nursing work among the people of Wakefield .- Mary E. Eaton and others.
A motion by Finance Committee to indefinitely postpone was lost.

That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $500 same to be ex- pended by the Board of Selectmen in conjunction with the Visiting Nurse.

Article 12. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $150.00 for Memorial Day purposes, for the use of the United Span- ish War Veterans .- Edward J. Gihon and others.

Voted: That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $150 to carry out the purposes of Article 12.
