Greetings:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Hancock qualified to vote in election and in Town affairs to meet in the Hancock Central School in said Hancock on Mon- day, February 1, 1960 at 9:00 o'clock A. M. and there to act on the following articles, Viz .:
First-To choose the following Town Officers:
One Moderator for one year. One Town Clerk for one year. One Selectman for three years. One Assessor for three years.
One Collector and Treasurer for one year.
One Auditor for one year.
One Library Trustee for three years.
One Tree Warden for one year. One Cemetery Committee for three years. One Constable for one year. One School Committee for three years.
One Finance Committee for three years.
Note-The following articles will not be acted upon until 10:30 A. M.
Second-To hear the report of the Selectmen and other Town Officers and act thereon.
Third-To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue and reimbursement of the financial year beginning Jan. 1, 1960 and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.
Fourth-To see if the Town will accept the list of Jurors as made out and posted by the Selectmen.

Fifth-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of two thousand six hundred twenty-two dollars ($2,622.00) or any other sum for Town Officers' Salaries. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Sixth-To see if the Town will vote to permit the Board of Selectmen to appoint one of its members as Superintendent of Streets, to the Board of Public Welfare and Old Age Assistance and Aid to Dependent Children, Inspector of Animals and Veterans' Service Agent.
Seventh-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) or any other sum for Memorial Day and to select one to take charge of same. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Eighth-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of one thou- sand three hundred and five dollars ($1,305.00) or any other sum as requested by the State Department to be used under Chapter 81. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Ninth-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or any other sum for removing snow and care of winter roads and snow fence. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Tenth-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of eight hun- dred dollars ($800.00) for Chap. 90 Maintenance or any other sum. Approved by the Finance Committte ..

Twelfth-To see what the Town will vote to pay Highway Superintendent.
Thirteenth -- To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate one dollar ($1.00) or any other sum for Disability Assistance. Approved by the Finance Com- mittee.
Fourteenth-To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate eight hundred dollars ($800.00) or any other sum for Aid to Dependent Children. Ap- proved by the Finance Committee.
Fifteenth-To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate one hundred dollars ($100.00) or any other sum as salary for members of Department of Public Welfare. Approved by the Finance Committee.

Twenty-third-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of four hundred dollars ($400.00) or any other sum for books and maintenance of library and grounds, also the Dog Fund of one hundred forty-two dollars and fifty-seven cents ($142.57). Approved by the Finance Committee.
Twenty-fourth-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate five hundred dollars ($500.00) or any other sum for upkeep of cemetery. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Twenty-fifth-To see if the Town will raise and appropriate one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) or any other sum for Forest Fires and equipment. Approved by the Finance Committee.

Thirty-eighth-To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate from Free Cash in the Treasury the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for Chapter 90 Construction. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Thirty-ninth-To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of three thousand two hundred twenty-five dollars ($3,225.00) for payment of principal and interest on the $40,000 School Loan under Chapter 44 of the General Laws. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Fortieth-To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of four thousand eight hundred thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($4,837.50) for payment of principal and interest on the $60,000 School Loan under Chapter 645 of the Acts of 1948, as amended.
Forty-first-To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell at public bid the so-called "North School" or take any other action thereon.
Forty-second-To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell at public bid the so-called "Goodrich Hollow School" or take any other action thereon.
Forty-third-To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell at Public bid the so-called "Village School" or take any other action thereon.
Forty-fourth-To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) or any other sum to defray the cost of ad- vertising and selling of the schools in the above mentioned articles. Approved by the Finance Committee.
Forty-fifth-To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from Free Cash in the Treasury $13,750.00 (Thirteen thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars) to provide for the State's and County's share of the cost of Chapter 81 and 90 high- way work, said sum to be restored to Free Cash upon receipt of the reimburse- ments from the State and County.

Forty-sixth-To see if the Town will vote to allow members of the Cemetery Committee to be employed in the Cemetery.
Forty-seventh-To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
And the Selectmen give notice that the polls will be closed at 6:30 P. M. and you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting at least two attested copies thereof in public places in Town at least seven days before said meeting- hereof fail not and make due returns of your doings thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of the meeting aforesaid.
