Education -in Carver schools - the high school was in Carver at that time.
First World War - stationed at Fort Rodman as cook of Coast Artillery Ist Company, New Bedford. Inducted October 23, 1918; discharged July 2, 1919.
Second World War - served in Harbor Defense, Boston. Occupation - overseer of cranberry bogs for Paul Thompson. Overseer of cranberry bogs for Churchill Bogs. Observer at fire tower. Attendant at Lakeville Sanitorium.
Member - South Carver Methodist Church South Carver Grange. Order of Masons.
EARL B. WARE
Earl B. Ware was born in Everett, Mass., October 3. 1888. He was son of the late William Ware an Mary Irene (Andrews ) Ware.
He came to Carver as a boy and attended Carver schools.
Mr. Ware:
Served four years in the Navy from 1905 to May 1909. Served in the Army in World War I from September 1917 to May 1919 and was wounded in action.
Married Charlotte Atwood of Carver and they had one daughter, Irene.
Served as Selectman for nine years and was also Forest Warden, on the Board of Asssessors and Finance Com- mittee for a time. Served for awhile on the Draft Board at Plymouth.
Enlisted in State Guard in 1942 and served until it disbanded in September 1944.
Was a member of Carver Volunteer Firemen's Associa- tion, Plymouth County Firemen's Association and Plymouth County Forest Fire Service District No. 2. Was a member and Past Commander of Julian M. Southworth Post 164 American Legion.
Was a member of the Congregational Church at North Carver and sang in the choir several years.
Was an observer in Middleboro Fire Tower for many years, until his retirement on November 1, 1958.
Since that time, he spent his summers at Buzzards Bay, on Cape Cod, with his family.
He died July 18, 1963.

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING March 9, 1963
The Annual Town Meeting of the Inhabitants of Carver was held at the Governor John Carver School on Saturday, March 9, 1963. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 o'clock, P.M., by the Moderator, Bradford H. Cole, and the Invocation was given by Rev. Leo V. Dwyer, Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church at North Carver. Theodore E. Halunen and Joseph G. Morris were appointed Tellers and were duly sworn to the faithful performance of their duties.
Article 1, relating to the election of officers, having been disposed of at a prior meeting, the meeting proceeded to act upon the Articles in the Warrant .beginning with Article 2, as follows:
Article 2, VOTED to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1963, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.
Article 3. VOTED that the control and purchase of all municipal insurance be placed under the direction and control of the Selectmen, said vote to become effective on May 1, 1963.
Article 4. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $1400.00 for the Municipal Insurance Account.
Article 5. VOTED to appropriate the sum of $2000.00 from free cash in the Town Treasury for the sole purpose of meeting charges against the Cemetery funds in the Town treasury.

Article 6. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $650.00 to be used to pay for all private work and material in Town Cemeteries, such as opening graves, building foundations, etc., as according to General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 53.
Article 7. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $300.00 for the purpose of applying a seal coat to the driveways in the Central Cemetery.
Article 8. VOTED that the Dog Fund be applied to the Library Account.
Article 9. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $100.00 for the use of Plymouth County Trustees for County Aid to Agriculture and choose a Town Director as provided in Section 41 and 45 of Chapter 128 of the General Laws. Thereupon, Mr. Earl E. Boardway was duly nominated and unanimously elected Town Director County Aid to Agriculture.
Article 10. VOTED to transfer from the Overlay Reserve Account to the 1963 Reserve Account the sum of $5,000.00.
Article 11. VOTED to fix the salary and compensation of all elective officers of the Town, such salaries to be retroactive to January 1, 1963, as provided by General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 108, as amended, namely:
Highway Surveyor $100.00 per week
Town Treasurer 2100.00
Town Clerk 800.00
Tax Collector 2100.00
Moderator, $20.00 for the Annual Town Meeting, and $5.00 for each Special Town Meeting.
Members of the School Board, $1.75 per hour.
All other elected town officers, $1.75 per hour.

Article 12. VOTED to choose all necessary Town Officers not elected by ballot. Thereupon, the following officers were duly nominated and elected: Field Drivers - and Pound Keepers - Raymond A. Parent, David B. Nye, Theodore E. Halunen;
Surveyors of Lumber and Measures of Wood - Bradford H. Cole, Toivo J. Kallio, Homer F. Weston; Herring Committee - Frank R. Mazzilli, Gordon W. Fountain, Clark A. Griffith.
Article 13. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $8,000.00 for Chapter 90 Highway Construction on Main and Tremont Streets, and to transfer the sum of $24,000.00 from available funds in the treasury to meet the State's and County's shares of the cost of the work, the reimburse- ments from the State and County to be restored, upon their receipt, to free cash in the treasury.
Article 14. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $6,600.00 for Chapter 81, Highways, and to transfer the sum of $18,150.00 from the Treasury to meet the State's share of the cost of the work, the reimbursements from the State to be restored, upon their receipt, to free cash in the Treasury.
Article 15. VOTED that the sum of $10,005.36 be appropriated for the permanent construction of Mayflower Road, and to meet said appropriation the sum of $10,005.36 be transferred from the proceeds received, or to be received, from the State under the provisions of Chapter 782 of the Acts of 1962.
Article 16. VOTED to return to the Treasury the following appropriation balance: Snow Plow Equipment (Art. 3, June 13, 1961) - $97.90.
Article 17. VOTED to transfer the sum of $1,996.00 from the Road Machinery Fund to the 1963 Highway Machinery Account.
Article 18. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $300.00 for Route 58 (Main Street) Land Damage, in

accordance with an order of the County Commissioners dated December 26, 1962, Decree No. 1124, Amended Award Parcel 46.
Article 19. VOTED to authorize the Tree Warden, Cemetery Commissioners and Park Commissioners to employ themselves as laborers in the cemeteries, parks and tree department.
Article 20. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,000.00 for Assessors' Plans, such sum to be used and expended by the Board of Assessors.
Article 21. VOTED to raise and appropriate the sum of $79.36 to pay the following 1962 unpaid bills, namely:
City of Boston (Public Welfare Acct.) $62.46 Old Colony Association for Mental Health (Health Acct.) 16.90
Article 22. VOTED to raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing year, as follows:
