GEORGE H. HARTWELL, JR, Clerk.

REPORT OF TOWN ACCOUNTANT

To the Honorable Board of Selectmen :

Gentlemen :

I herewith submit my annual report of financial transactions of the Town of Southbridge for the year ending December 31st. 1922.

The system of accounting has been carried out as in the previ- ous years, under the direction of the Division of Accounts. Depart- ment of Corporations and Taxation.

Again I would ask that all Boards and Committees who con- tract bills for the town to have same billed to the Town of South- bridge and to the proper department, and not to the Chairman or Clerks of the Boards or Committees. If this is complied with. it will save a great deal of correspondence and delay. The same careful scrutiny of all bills is maintained as in former years.

The various departments should have all bills approved and in the hands of the Accountant by Tuesday noon of each week. thereby giving me sufficient time to list on the warrant and the delivery of same to its treasurer in time for payment.

In closing I wish to extend my sincere thanks to our, various town departments for their hearty co-operation and assistance rendered during the year.

Respectfully, VALMORE P. TETREAULT.

Town Accountant.
