COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS. MIDDLESEX, SS.
To either of the Constables of the Town of Arlington, in said County.
GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are. hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Arlington, qualified as the Constitution requires, to vote in elections and town affairs, to assemble in the Town Hall, in said Town, Monday, the first day of March, 1915, at 6 A.M., then and there to act on the following articles, viz .:
ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting. ART. 2. To elect by ballot the following town officers: a Town Clerk, for one year; a Town Treasurer, for one year; a Town Collector, for one year; an Auditor, for one year; one Selectman for the term of one year; one Selectman for the term of two years; one Selectman for the term of three years; one member of the Board of Public Works for the term of one year; one member of the Board of Public Works for the term of two years; one member of the Board of Public Works for the term of three years; one Assessor, for three years; three members of the School Committee, for three years; one member of the Board of Trustees of the Pratt Fund, for five years; one Trustee of Pratt Fund to fill vacancy for term expiring in 1919; one member of the Board of Commissioners of the Sinking Fund, for three years; two Trustees of the Robbins Library for three years; one Trustee of the Edwin S. Farmer Poor Widows' Fund for the term of five years; one Trustee of the Edwin S. Farmer Poor Widows' Fund for the term of four years, to fill vacancy; one Trustee of the Edwin S. Farmer Fund for Needy Persons for the term of five years; one Trustee of the Edwin S. Farmer Fund for Needy Persons for the term of four years, to fill vacancy; one Cemetery Commissioner, for three years; six Con-

stables, for one year; one Park Commissioner, for three years; one member of the Planning Board for three years; one member of the Board of Health, for three years; one Tree Warden, for one year. Also, to choose or appoint all the other usual town officers, in such manner as the Town may determine. Also, upon the same ballot to vote "yes" or "no" upon the question, "Shall licenses be granted for sale of intoxicating liquors in this Town?" Also, upon the same ballot to vote "yes" or "no" upon the question, "Shall Chapter 795, Acts of 1914, being 'An Act to provide for the better prevention of fires throughout the Metropolitan Dis- trict,' be accepted by the inhabitants of the Town of Arlington?" For these purposes the polls will be open as soon as possible after the organization of the meeting and kept open until 5 o'clock P.M.
ART. 3. To hear and act on the reports of the Selectmen and other Town Officers and Committees heretofore appointed.
ART. 4. To make an appropriation for the Robbins Library for the ensuing year.
ART. 5. To make an appropriation for the Public Schools for the ensuing year, and determine in what manner the same shall be expended.
ART. 6. To determine in what manner the Town ways, high- ways and bridges shall be repaired the ensuing year.
ART. 7. To determine what sum of money the Town shall raise by general tax, to defray Town expenses, interest, debt and State Aid, and make an appropriation for the same.
ART. 8. To see if the Town will appoint the Selectmen agents of the Town, to institute and prosecute in favor of the Town, and appear and defend suits and legal proceedings against or involving the interests of the Town, with power to employ counsel therein and, when necessary, in all other legal matters and busi- ness appertaining to Town affairs during the year commencing March 1, 1915.
ART. 9. To see what action the Town will take in relation to the appointment of a Committee of Twenty-one for the ensuing year.
ART. 10. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $275 for the proper observance of Memorial Day, the same to be expended under the direction of Francis Gould Post 36, G. A. R.
ART. 11. To see if the Town will appropriate $7000 in accord-

ance with the vote passed December 6, 1904, for water used for fire hydrants, street-watering and public buildings for the ensuing year.
ART. 12. To see what action the Town will take in regard to extension of water mains, make an appropriation for the same, and determine in what manner the money shall be raised.
ART. 13. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the construction and repair of permanent sidewalks.
ART. 14. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the maintenance of the Sewerage System for the ensuing year, and determine in what manner the money shall be raised.
ART. 15. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the extension of the Sewerage System for the ensuing year, and determine in what manner the money shall be raised.
ART. 16. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the use of the Highway Division, and determine in what manner the money shall be raised.
ART. 17. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for street watering and for treatment for the prevention of dust, and determine in what manner the money shall be raised.
ART. 18. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for street lighting.
ART. 19. To see if the Town will vote to authorize its Collector of Taxes to use all means of collecting taxes for the year 1915, which a Town Treasurer may use when appointed a Collector of Taxes.
ART. 20. To see if the Town will make an appropriation to continue the work of establishing the block system for the use of the Board of Assessors, the same to be expended under the direc- tion of the Assessors.
ART. 21. To see if the Town will make an additional appro- priation to be expended from November 30, 1914, and for the twelve months next ensuing, for suppressing the gypsy and brown- tail moths, in accordance with the provision of Chapter 381, of the Acts of 1905, and amendments thereto, and determine in what manner the money shall be raised.
ART. 22. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the extermination of insects other than gypsy and brown-tail moths, determine in what manner the money shall be raised, or- take any action thereon.

ART. 23. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the purpose of providing bathing facilities, or take any action thereon.

ART. 25. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the purpose of providing additional motor-driven fire apparatus, or take any action thereon.

ART. 26. To see if the Town will vote to accept and establish as a Town way the private way known as Orvis Road, from Massachusetts Avenue to Brooks Avenue, as laid out by the Joint Board of Selectmen and Board of Public Works, under the pro- visions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments, make an appropriation for constructing the same, determine in what manner the money shall be raised, or take any action thereon. Said Orvis Road is a certain strip of land eighty feet in width, situated in the Town of Arlington, Middlesex County, and bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly side line of Massachusetts Avenue at a point 538.80 feet northerly from an angle point in said westerly line of Massachusetts Avenue opposite a stone bound at Winter street; thence running northerly and north- westerly on a curve to the left with a radius of 20.0 feet, a distance of 31.41 feet; thence, westerly on a curve to the right with a radius of 815.53 feet, a distance of 197.73 feet; thence, westerly on a curve to the left with a radius of 1043.0 feet, a distance of 252.88 feet; thence, westerly on a curve to the left with a radius of 1704.70 feet, a distance of 439.55 feet; thence, southwesterly and southerly on a curve to the left, with a radius of 50.0 feet, a distance of 51.67 feet to the easterly side line of Brooks Avenue; thence, northerly along said easterly side line of Brooks Avenue 147.32 feet; thence, southerly and southeasterly on a curve to the left, with a radius of 15.0 feet, a distance of 31.24 feet; thence, easterly on a curve to the right, with a radius of 1784.70 feet, a distance of 415.34 feet; thence, easterly on a curve to the right, with a radius of

1123.0 feet, a distance of 272.27 feet; thence, easterly on a curve to the left, with a radius of 735.53 feet, a distance of 178.33 feet; thence, easterly and northeasterly on a radius of 20.0 feet, a distance of 31.41 feet, to said westerly side line of Massachusetts Avenue; thence, southerly along said westerly side line of Massa- chusetts Avenue 120.0 feet to the point of beginning, as shown on a plan approved by the Board of Survey, Arlington, Mass., December 3, 1910, and entitled "Plan and Profile of proposed street through land of John P. To see if the Town will vote to accept and establish as a Town way the private way known as Freeman Street, from Lake Street to Orvis Road, as laid out by the Joint Board of Selectmen and Board of Public Works, under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments, make an appro- priation for constructing the same, determine in what manner the money shall be raised, or take any action thereon. Said Freeman Street is a certain strip of land forty feet in width, situated in the Town of Arlington, Middlesex County, and bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly side line of Orvis Road 229.14 feet westerly from the westerly side line of Massachusetts Avenue; thence, running westerly and southerly on a curve to the left with a radius of 19.52 feet, a distance of 35.48 feet; thence, southeasterly by a straight line 498.06 feet; thence, southeasterly and easterly on a curve to the left with a radius of 15.0 feet, a distance of 18.16 feet to the northerly side line of Lake Street; thence, westerly along said northerly side line of Lake Street 75.0 feet, more or less; thence, easterly and northeasterly on a curve to the left with a radius of 15.0 feet, a distance of 28.97 feet; thence, northwesterly on a straight line 491.76 feet; thence, northwesterly and westerly on a curve to the left with a radius of 15.0 feet, a distance of 21.05 feet, to the southerly side line of said Orvis Road; thence, easterly along said southerly side line of Orvis Road 78.43 feet to the point of beginning, as shown on a plan approved by the Board of Survey, Arlington, Mass., Decem- ber 3, 1910, and entitled "Plan and Profile of proposed street through land of John P. Squire Estate, Arlington, Mass., scales 1" =40' & 6', October 1909, Henry S. Adams, C. E."

Beginning at a stone bound on the westerly side line of Massa- chusetts Avenue 180 feet northerly from the northerly side lines of Varnum Street; thence, turning and running southwesterly 408.17 feet to a stone bound; thence, northwesterly 40 feet, more or less, to a stone bound; thence, northeasterly 209.23 feet to a stone bound on the westerly side line of said Massachusetts Avenue; thence, southeasterly along said westerly side line of Massachusetts Avenue 40.0 feet to the point of beginning, as shown on a plan approved by the Board of Survey, Arlington, Mass., and entitled "Plan and Profile of Milton Street," showing proposed lines and grades, scales 1"=40' & 6', C.
