To the Honorable Board of Selectmen:


Gentlemen :


I herewith submit a report of the receipts and expenditures during the year 1938, showing in detail the receipts from each source of income, the appropriations and expenditures. I also present a balance sheet showing the Assets and Liabilities at the close of the fiscal year.


Unexpended balances of Appropriations turned back into the Treasury amounted to $2,079.01.


Tax Titles held by the Town amount to $2,633.71 and Tax Title Possessions $327.12. The tax title account has shown a constant decrease during the past three years.


The surplus revenue (Excess and Deficiency Account) is $20,796.25 and the Overlay Surplus $2,569.83.
