BOSTON COPPER
WEATHER VANES
Were awarded the First Premium At the New England and New Hampshire State Fairs,
J. HARRIS & SON,
No. 76 Kingston Street, Opposite Boston and Albany Railroad Depot, and U. S. Hotel,
BOSTON, MASS.
The only manufacturers of raised or swelled Weather Vanes in the United States made entirely of Copper. The advantage of Copper over Zinc and other metals, which have and still does compose a part of all other Vanes, is that the gold leaf will hold its brilliancy four times longer on Copper than on Zinc. which is brittle and easily broken, and when attached to Copper is easily separated. All other Vanes have zinc or iron heads, and some make the bodics partly of zinc. The Vanes put up the last few years bear testimony, with bald or dark heads, so far as a show of Gold Leaf is concerned, while the parts made of Copper remain good and brilliant. Both heads and bodies of our Vanes are pure Copper, and last twenty-five per cent longer than zinc, yet we will sell as low as the lowest. For style, beauty, workmanship and material, we challenge comparison. We have no old patterns; our designs are all new and perfect representations of the animals and objects designed. One look at our Vanes, and no fear of being deceived, as the attempts of parties, with zinc heads, etc., to imitate is a perfect failure. Please call at our Factory and spacious Salesrooms, and examine the largest and only assortment of pure Copper Weather Vanes in America. Send for price list. Liberal discount to the trade.
