Report of Registrars of Voters


The Registrars of Voters held twenty-eight meetings. The annual meeting was held August 11th, 1910. Harry C. Woodill was unanimously elected as Chairman; W. De Haven Jones, Secretary. Check lists of the seven wards were re- vised and rearranged for the new style of printing. 415 names were dropped, 159 names were restored. Total number of names finally dropped, 256, leaving the list 2,958.


Meetings held for registering the voters for the State Election, November 8th, 1910.

Tuesday, September 20th, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 23d, 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 4th, 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 11th, 6 to 9 p.m.


Wednesday, October 19th, continuous session from 12 o'clock noon until 10 o'clock p.m.

The doing away with the Republican Caucus for the City Election put a large amount of extra work upon the Regis- trars, for all the names upon the various nomination papers amounting to thousands, had to be verified and checked, be- fore the same could be accepted.


Meetings were held for registering the voters for the Municipal Election to be held December 13th, 1910, on Fri- day, November 18th, from 7 until 10 o'clock p.m. Also Wednesday, a continuous session from 12 o'clock noon until 10 o'clock p.m.
