Wear Better than Hand-Sewed,

And it is because by the use of these Machines they secure a more per- fect Uniformity and Regularity with the work than it is possible to ob- tain from any given number of band workmen ; the latter are never to be relied upon with equal certainty. either as to Quantity or Quality of Work. Why not give YOUR Customers what is needed-GOODYEAR WELTS? Cost more? Very little. There are no shoes in the mar- ket. but Hand-Sewed, that approach them in quality, and these cost fifty per cent. more to manufacture than GOODYEAR WELTS. GOODYEAR WELTS are Welted and Stitched while on the Last : hence retain their style and shape much longer.

GOODYEAR WELTS are made with a whole Innersole.

GOODYEAR WELTS are better than hand-sewed shoes, and when properly made can never rip.

Pegging Machines of all kind,, Wax Thread Machines, Monitor Eveletters, Side Welt Machines, Punching Mac. ines, Embossing Machines, Rolfing Machines, Star Sole and Upper Leather Splitters, Edge Trimming and Setting Machines, Lining Markers, Patent Nail Drivers, Mallets, Cutting Boards, Duplicate parts of our own and many other machines, constantly on hand. A special feature of our business is repairing Pegging and Wax Thread Machmes, for which we have facilities meghalled. Ali work done by u- guaranteed. Particular attention is called to our New and Im. proved Wax Thread Machines-the Bay State No. 2, and the COUNTER STITCHER, both of which are here illustrated.

Our BAY STATE No. 2 is acknowledged by all who have given it a fair trial, to be superior to any other in use, doing more work and with less wear to the machine. So generally is it known, that it is useless to cite names of those using them. as we have them running in nearly every manu- facturing town in New England, and they establish their own reputation. We fit them with 1, 2 or 3 needles, from 1-16 to 7-16 space, to run very fine cotton or linen. To any one in need of such a machine, we would invite them to try this one.

The COUNTER STITCHER has the stitch reversed from others, the loop being on the top, thus enabling the operator to hohl his work upside down and stitch on the counter or strap without past. ing or tacking. Manufacturers having this class of work to do cannot afford to be without this machine. We have the most convincing proof of its utility from the leading manufacturers in the country. We fit them with two needles for stitching two rows at once if desired. To those in need of such a machine, or anything in our line, we would extend an invitation to call at our store.
