STEPHEN LINCOLN.


1. STEPHEN, and his w. and s. Stephen came to New Eng. in the ship "Diligent." They arrived Aug. 10, 1638, and early in the autumn foll. settled in our Hing. They were from Windham (Wymondham), County of Norfolk, Eng. Land was granted to him upon his arrival. Margaret, the w. of Stephen, d. in Hing., and was buried 13 June, 1642. Stephen d. 11 Oct. 1658. In his will, made three days before his decease, he mentions "my mother Joan Lincoln, son Stephen Lincoln, and Susanna Lincoln, the daughter of my brother Thomas Lincoln the husbandman." He provides for his mother "Joan," but leaves the principal part of his est. to Stephen, his only child then living.
