BLACKINTON.


The thriving and prosperous little village bearing the above name was so called in honor of Sanford Blackinton, first president of the S. Blackinton Woolen Co., which constitutes the main in- dustry of the place. It is situated on the Fitchburg railroad, three miles west of North Adams. Electric cars run to and from this place every 45 minutes.
