Feby 27, 1754. This Day the Church met in the macet- ing House and voted That Deacon Israel Wood be desired to assist Brother John Thorndike jun in compleating a Subscription towards the purchasing a Silver Tankard for the Use of the Chh at the Lords Table, and also The CLE voted That the Deacons should receive of said Thorn dike such Sum or Sums which He may have already gotbered of the above mentioned Subscription, and give Him a re- ceipt and put the same into the Chh-Treasury, til there should be a Silver Tankard made as above mentioned.
1756, March 10th The Church met after Lecture in the meeting House, and the Pastor observed that Two Sil- ver Tankards, had been purchased, partly by money dieon out of the Churchs Treasury ; viz Six Pounds, and partly by a Subseription, obtained by ME John Thorndike jun of a considerable number of the Brethren and Sisters of the Church ; said Tankaids having been set ou the Commun- ion Table, several Sacrament Days: being for the Use of the Church ; and now the Property of the Church. Att this meeting the Church voted their Thanks to ME John Thorndike jun' for his procuring the above mentioned Subscription.
Att this meeting the Church voted their Desire That Col: Hale together with the Deacons would prepare, in Writing, a suitable Inscription to be put upou the above mentioned Tankards.

May 30'h being Sacramert Day, the above mentioned Tankards were set upon the Communion Table. inscribed, as on the Forepart of said Tankards, wit further appear. [*] 1756 December 5th was communicated to the Chh a Letter from the Chh in Manchester, setting forth the De- she of ve said Chh, and of Samedi Allen jun. That this Chl by their Pastor and Delegates would come and join with + other Chhs in Council, to hear the Complaints of seid Allen, as being unjustly treated by said Chh, in their Letters of Suspension & Admonition, and their Votes passed at two of their Chỉ meetings, whereupon this Chi manimoesle voted a Compliance with their Request, and chose Capt Robert Haskol & Deacon Brac! Wood to at- tend said Couneil with their Pastor.
February 2 1: 1760. Was compmini - ted to the Chh a Letter from the Second Chh in Ipswich, setting forth, That some Difficulties had arose among Them, and They thought it their Duty to ask Christian Advice and Assis. tance, desiring that this Chh would send to their Help their Pastor and such Delegates as They might think proper. The matter was defered for Consideration til the next Sabbath.
March 2: The Chh voted unanimously a Compliance with the above mentioned request of the Second Chh in Ipswich and chose Cap" Benj" Cleeves & Deacon Joseph Foster, with the Pastor to represent Them in the affair.
February 1 1701. Was communicated to the Chha Letter, signed by a number of the Second Chh in Chebacco, styling Themselves aggrieved Brethren of ye said Chh, and a mmabor of others of ye fi st Parish in Chebaeco, re- questing that the Chh would send to their Help & Assisi- ance under their difficulties, which still remained, the same Persons that hid been of the Conneil above mentioned, on the following Sabbath i Letter from the rev! ME Parker, relating to the affair was read, and after some Discourse, the Chh unanimously voted a noncompliance with the above mentioned Request.

to the next-Lecture Day. Ait this meeting Brother Benje Cleeves wholly declined serving in that office, he having been chosen some years before.
March fa The Chh iret, agreable to the Adjomement above mentioned and after their meeting was opened by Prayer proceedel to chuse Two Deacons, and Brother Benjamin Cleeves Junt and Brother Caleb Wallis were chosen by a great majority.
May 10th The above mentioned Benj Cleeves junt & Caleb Wallis declared they were disposed to serve the Church as Descens and accordingly served at ve Com- inunion Table, and in the Afternoon took their Seats.
August 15, 1762. A Letter from the first Chh in Mar- Hlehead was communicated to this Chh.

The Chh proceeded to consider seriously an Affair of sueb gr' Im ortance and after some considerable Discourse together, The Pastor put it to vote whether the Church would give Mr Willard a Call, and Two to one voted for it. Nota Becne. This is to be understood, that He is called to settle as a Colleague with ye Revi Joseph Champney. To which an affirmative answer was given by him.
1772, Octo' 12. This Day the First Church of Christ in Beverly met att the House of the Pastor of said Church Voted 17 that the Ordination of Mr Joseph Willard as a Colleague with the said Pastor Over the Church & Con- gregation of said Parish be on the Twenty-fifth Day of Nov' next 2'y Voted that the first & second Churches in Cam- bridge The three Churches in Boston of which Do' Elliott, Der Cooper & the Royd Mr Howard are Pastors the second Church in Scarborough the Church in Stafford of which

It is Proposed yt the Associated Pastors with a proper number of delegates from s' Severall Chhs ho formed into a standing or stated Council, weh shall con- sult advise & determine all affairs yt shall bo proper mat- ter for ve considerat" of an Ecclesiastical Council, within ye Respective limits. Except alwales wage cases are such as 3º Associated Pastors may Judge more convenient to fall under s' cognizante of some ofthe Council.
3. That to y' and these Associated Pastors with yr re- spective Chbs shall consociate & combine acc: to w' hath been by ye Synod of des Chis recommended : & that they act as consocialed Chh In all boly watchfuln' & helpful- ns tow's Each off! = & That Each Chb. choose or depute one or more to attend y' Pastors as members of se Coun- cil In ve stated sessts or occasionally, as Emergency shall call for.

The Council Is to de- clare yt Chh no longer it for Communion with yo Chh of ye faithful -:
