This was accordingly done & ye next Sabbath viz: ve 3: 11 : 166% hee made his apearance. These, with any other sin yt ve Lord may upon inquiry convince his people of, wee desier may be call- fessed, bewailed & a thorough reformation endeavoured ; & for this purpose ve Court de appoint ve sixteenth day of June next for a day of humiliation to be kept through out this Jurisdiction, & do commende it to ye Churches, Elders, ministers & people to keepe yo same solemnly & seriously accordingly.

By ye Court Edward Rawson 7: 6: 70 Samuell Coming jur (son of Samuell Corn- ing sur) with his wife Hannah ( daughter of John Bach- elder) did both owne ye Covenant of God solemnly in publick & desier Baptism for their son : we was accepted. 4:7 : 70 Mary ye daughter of Edward Bishop & wife of Robert Coburne professing her submission to God & his ways & owning ye Covenant had her childe baptized & letters of Recommendation to Ve Church of Christ al Chelmsford were consented to by ye brethren to bee sent with her, shee going to live there.

[18] 1674 11 : 800 Benjamin Balsh Int & his present wife Elizabeth (ye daughter of Sister Elizabeth Woodbury widdow) these boeing under ye watch of ve Church & having sinned against ve Lord & their owne soules in committing folly together before marriage, having a childe born before they were marryed : They were called before ye Church ve 11: October 1674. where they confused their sin de. And were publickly admonished (w" ve Consent of ve brethren) to repent of their sin & so left to some time of tryall farther.

This Church doth declare themselves troubled at ve suddain proceedings of those of Salem yt are going to gather into a Charch at Linn ye next 34 day : & doe therefore humbly advise (and request ve messinger, of ye Churches there assembled to moove them ) to cease for ve present, till further menes may bee need for prevent- ing & healing ve present diferences at Salem. Our brethren John West, John Dodge Sur & John Hill were chosen to signifie the same.

20: 11. 75 Was a Church meeting wherein Goody Davis was admitted into this Church by letters of dis. mission from ye Church at Wenham. Allso Ephraim Hirrock was before ye Church but not giving full . itis- faction by manifestation of repentance was respited to another time. Also ve Gen. Court having recommended to ve Churches a farther care of discipline in ve Charches especially toward ve rising generation : it was consented to, approved of. The words of je order :
At a gen' Court 3 : 9 : 1675 p : 33. This Court appre- bending there is too great a neglect of discipline in ve Churches & especially respecting those yt are their chil- drea, through ye non-acknowledgment of them according to ve order of ve Gospel in watching over them as well as Chatechizing of them, inquiring into their spirituall states, yt beeing brought to take hold of ye Covenant. they may acknowledge & bee acknowledged according to their relations to God & his Church, & their obligations to bee ye Lords & to approve themselves so to bee by a suitable profession & conversation : Do therefore solemnly recommend it unto ye respective Elders & brethren of ve severall Churches throughout this Jurisdiction to take effectuall course for reformation herein.
9. 1. 1676. Was a Church meeting wherein or Brother Ephraim Birreck was upon ye manifestation of topen- tance absolved & restored to ye Church according to . Galat. 6. 1. 2. Math. 6. 14, 15. & 18. 21, 22. Lake 17. 3, 4,5.

19th. 2 mo. 1976. Elizabeth Dodge wife of Will. Dodge tertius was admitted unto full communion with this Church at a Church meeting & not beeing baptized before was then baptized.
3. 500. Susanna [Teny] daughter of Deacon Wood- bury and a childe of the Church (see her mume pig. 3: A : 1607 June 3) was admitted to full Communion w: this Church on ye 30. 5. 76, before ye Sacrement.

Brother Left Dixy presented ye case of two children of his son (Johns deceased) for whome he desiered baptisme, his sonne beeing a childe of ve cove- nant & one yt gave good hope of his dying in ye faith & yt he would have joined himselfe to full communion wth this or some other church, but yt death prevented him: wherefore he their Grandfather desiered bapti-me for these Grandchildren Sarah & Elizabeth, was by a vote was consented to.

It beeing propounded unto ye Brethren of this Church that they should give in to ye Pastor ve names of their Children in Minority weh were dismissed from Salem Church together ww their parents to be urder the watch of this Church as they grow up.
