This Society was formed in 1851. Its object is to relieve the sufferings of the poor and unfortunate. Its labors are at present confined to the Second Ward. Its officers are as follows : -

WALKER BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.


This Society was instituted in North Cambridge, Oct. 1, 1855. It has for its object, &c., the amelioration of the condition of the poor in North Cambridge and Somerville, and the prevention of fraud. The following gentlemen and ladies were appointed officers of this Society.
