Jacob Houghton and Mary Willard were Married April 6. 1730.
Abraham Son of Jacob Houghton & Mary his wife was born March 13, 1735. 197 Abraham Houghton & Sarah Divoll was married August IIth. 1750.
Jacob Son of Abraham Houghton and Sarah his wife was born November 26, 1760.
The foregoing are the Descendants of John Houghton from Lancashire Eng- land and his wife Anna. Entered by Request of Henry Houghton, of Putney Vermont as his certificate on file will show.

The following entry is made at the request of Henry Houghton one of the posterity of John Houghton Esqr. who died in Lancaster February 3. 1736-7.
Is by tradition from his ancestors, that John Houghton with his wife fled from England to America, to enjoy their Religion : They being the parents of the said John Houghton Esquire, who came with them in his infancy.
