MIDDLESEX REGISTRY OF LANCASTER MARRIAGES.


By a province law, passed December 1, 1716, every town-clerk was enjoined to give in a list of marriages, annually, for record to the Clerk of the Sessions of the Peace. The Middlesex Registry contains such returns of marriages in Lancaster from April, 1718, to the year 1730, after which the town returns were made to the Worcester Court. Only the lists previous to March, 1726, are here copied, as marriages of later date are found duly recorded in the town book.
