Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the purpose of purchasing from the Draper Corporation, for the use of the Highway Depart- ment, the property located off Sumner Street Extension, formerly known as the Hopedale Manufacturing Co., or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from the general Highway Fund the sum of Two Thou- sand Dollars ($2,000.00) for the purpose of rebuilding part of Medway Street, said money to be used in connec- tion with money to be allotted by the State and County for that purpose, said work to be done under the super- vision of the Highway Surveyor and unemployed real property owners be given the preference in said employ- ment, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 18. Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to accept Sec- tion 120A, of Chapter 94 of the General Laws of Massa- chusetts and establish as a further fee thereunder the sum of twenty cents ($ .20) for each animal slaughtered under such license, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum or sums of money for the purpose of constructing concrete cement sidewalks on both sides of Main and East Main Streets, from a point beginning at the New York, New Haven and Hartford R.R. crossing to the Medway Road Junction, labor to be furnished by those receiving aid from the Welfare Department, and

the construction of the same to be under the supervision of a local engineer, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) for the purpose of resurfacing Meade Street, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) for the purpose of purchasing a portable brush fire pump, hose and other necessary equipment, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to authorize its Park Commissioners to appoint any member or mem- bers of its Board to any position necessary for the carry- ing out of its work, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 34. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Twenty-one Hundred Dollars ($2,100.00) for the use of the Park Commissioners, Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00) of which is to be used for general care and maintenance of Town Parks, and Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) of which is to be used for care, maintenance and construction of sidewalks on Town Parks, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 35. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Eleven Hundred Dollars ($1,100.00) for the care and maintenance of playgrounds, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 36. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the War Memorial Fund the sum of Thirty-two Hundred Ninety-three Dollars and Ninety-nine Cents ($3,293.99) to the Park Commissioners for the purpose of constructing and establishing a Memorial containing the Honor Roll, so-called, the same to be of granite and bronze, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 37. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Eleven Hundred Dollars ($1,100.00) to be expended under the supervision of the Park Commissioners for the érection of a Comfort Sta- tion and tool shed on the Town Park, or take any action in relation thereto.
And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at each of the Public Meeting Houses and at the Post Office in said Town; also cause an attested copy to be published in the Milford Daily News, a newspaper published in said Town, two Sabbaths at least before the time set for said meeting.

At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Milford, qualified by law to vote in Elections and in Town affairs, holden this sixth day of March, A. D. 1933, at 5.45 o'clock in the forenoon, the said inhabitants pro- ceeded as follows:
The meeting was called to order by the Town Clerk, who proceeded to read the Warrant.
After the reading of Articles 1 and 2, it was voted: To dispense with the reading of the remainder of the Articles in the Warrant until the date of the adjourned Town Meeting, to be determined later in the meeting.
The Clerk read the remainder of the Warrant after Article 37, and the officer's return thereon.
Article 1. A ballot was taken for choice of Moderator, the names of those voting being checked on the voting lists. Whole number of ballots cast, two; all of which were for John T. McLoughlin.
John T. McLoughlin was declared elected Moderator and sworn to a faithful performance of his duties by the Town Clerk.
Article 2. To choose all necessary Town officers.
Harry C. Tilden, Edward N. Blain, Rudolph J. Introini, John J. Kelley, Charles E. Pollard, Charles F. Gillon and Edward R. Glennon, Ballot Clerk, appointed by the Se- lectmen, were sworn to a faithful performance of their duties by the Town Clerk.
Ralph Carchio, appointed by the Moderator a Teller to check voting lists at the polls, was sworn to a faithful performance of his duties by the Town Clerk.
John J. Moloney, appointed Teller at the ballot box, was sworn to a faithful performance of his duties by the Town Clerk.

Packages said to contain 7,700 official ballots, speci- men ballots, cards of instructions and penalty cards were delivered to the Moderator by the Town Clerk. The bal- lots were then delivered to the Ballot Clerks.

All legal requirements having been complied with, the polls were declared open at 5.54 o'clock A. M.

Voted: That after the completion of action under Arti- cle 2 the meeting be adjourned until Monday, March 13, 1933, at eight o'clock P. M., in Town Hall.
Herbert B. McKenna, appointed by the Selectmen a Teller to check voting lists, was sworn to a faithful per- formance of his duties by the Town Clerk, and began his duties at 12 o'clock, noon.
During the voting the ballot box was opened, by unani- mous consent of the Moderator and Town Clerk, for the purpose of taking out and counting the votes, first at 1.05 P. M., when the box registered 1,505, then at 2.35 o'clock A. M., when it registered 2,250, then at 4.04 P. M., when it registered 3,000, then at 5.50 o'clock P. M., when it registered 4,000, then at 6.40 P. M., when it registered 4,450, then at 8 o'clock P. M., at the close of the polls, 5,447.

In pursuance to a vote passed at the Annual Town Meeting, March 6, 1933, the inhabitants of the Town of Milford, qualified by law to vote in elections and in Town affairs, met in Town Hall on the above date and pro- ceeded as follows :
The meeting was called to order at eight o'clock P. M. by John T. McLoughlin, Moderator.
Article 3. Voted: To receive and accept the reports of all Town officers as printed in the annual Town reports.
Voted: To take up Article 5. It was moved: That all

personal and real estate taxes shall become due and pay- able October 15, 1933.
On all taxes remaining unpaid November 1, 1933, in- terest at the rate of six per cent per annum on all taxes amounting to Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), and eight per cent per annum on all taxes in excess of Two Hun- dred Dollars ($200.00) shall be charged from October 15, 1933.
The Collector shall be paid the sum of Thirty-five Hun- dred Dollars ($3,500.00) per annum for the collection of all taxes and assessments. The Town of Milford shall pay all expenses incurred by the Collector in law and equity in collecting said taxes and assessments.
The Town of Milford shall pay all expenses of the Col- lector's office, except clerk hire, which expense shall be paid by the Collector from his own salary.
That part of the motion with reference to salary and expenses was amended to read as follows: The Collector shall be paid the sum of Thirty-one Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($3,150.00) per annum for the collection of all taxes and assessments. The Town of Milford shall pay the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00) for all ex- penses of the Collector's office, excepting clerk hire, which expense shall be paid by the Collector from his salary.
The motion as amended was declared carried, by a voice vote, and it was Voted: That all personal and real estate taxes shall become due and payable October 15, 1933.

The vote was unanimous.

Voted: That the Selectmen be authorized to take charge of all legal proceedings for or against the Town.
