The meeting was called to order by Moderator Wil- liam A. Murray. He called upon the Monitors to take the roll and 120 being present a sufficient number to con- stitute a quorum the meeting was opened.
It was Voted: That the Town raise and appropriate the sums of money as recommended for each department by the Finance Committee under Article 2.
Article 3. Voted: That the town vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1944, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew such note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Sec- tion 17, Chapter 44 of the General Laws (Ter. Ed.)

Article 6. Voted: That the sum of One thousand six hundred sixty-seven dollars and eighty-five cents $1,667.85) returned from the county for 1942 Dog Taxes be appropriated to the Salary and Wages Account of the Town Library.

Article 7. Voted: That the Town vote to choose Mrs. Catherine Moore as a Director of County Aid to Agriculture in accordance with provisions of Chapter 128 of the General Laws.
Article 8. Voted: That the Town authorize the Selectmen to sell any or all real estate owned by the Town by reason of the foreclosure of tax titles thereon, and to execute, acknowledge and deliver a proper deed or deeds therefor, authority therefor to terminate March 1st, 1944.

An amendment was made that the Town raise and ap- propriate the sum of Twenty-two hundred dollars ($2200.00) for repair of W. Fountain Street provided that bituminous materials are available.
The amendment and motion were lost and it was voted to pass over the article.

It was moved that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of Fifteen thousand dollars ($15.000.00) for the construction of a sewer on East Street from the existing summit manhole (located 375 ft. south- erly from Central Street to the southerly end of the street) as now developed together with an interceptor.

Article 32. Voted: That the Town raise and ap- propriate the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the purpose of erecting an Honor Roll in honor of such residents of Milford who may enter the armed forces dur- ing the present war.
Article 33. Voted: That the Town vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell, lease or otherwise dispose of such equipment now owned by the Town that may have been procured for W. P. A. purposes.
