We would say that there are two outstanding accounts against the contingent fund, one of $213.60 to J. F. Foley, Town Clerk, for recording births, marriages and deaths and for services as registrar of voters, and one for $23.75 to C. B. Fiske & Co. for printing. The principal reason why the contingent fund has not been large enough to cover all charges is on account of the unusual number of forest fires which occurred during the year and the consequent ex- pense.
