Article 11. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate or transfer from unappropriated available funds in the treasury, a sum of money for Chapter 90 Highway Maintenance, or take any action relative thereto.
Article 12. "b. To the Inhabitants of the Town of Palmer, Massachusetts, the sum of Two Thousand ($2000) Dollars to be invested and the income derived therefrom to be used for the maintenance of 'Burleigh Park', in memory of my sister Julia Adelaide Bur- leigh."
"f. I give, devise and bequeath to the Inhabitants of the Town of Palmer, Massachusetts the sum of One Thousand ($1000) Dollars, to be invested and the income derived therefrom to be used to stimulate interest in the students of Palmer High School in literary or scientific subjects. I direct that such income be used under the supervision and direction of the Superintendent of Schools and Principal of the Palmer High School. This legacy is given in memory of the class of 1877, the first class to grad- uate from the Palmer High School."
"i. I give, devise and bequeath to the Town of Palmer, Massachusetts, the sum of Seventy-five ($75) Dollars and I direct that the income derived therefrom be paid to the Trustees or Commissioners of the Oak Knoll Cemetery Association of said Palmer. to be used for perpetual care of the Benjamin A. Burleigh lot in said cemetery. I give, devise and bequeath to said Town of Palmer, Massachusetts, the further sum of One Hundred ($100) Dollars, and I direct that the income derived therefrom be paid to the Trustees or Commissioners of said Oak Knoll Cemetery, to be used for decorating on suitable occasions the graves in said Benjamin A. Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 136, Section 4B of the General Laws which provide for the licensing of bowling alleys for operation on Sun- day during certain specified hours, or take any action relative thereto.
Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate any sum of money for the purchase of the following pieces of equipment for the use of the Highway Department:

Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to purchase a new forest fire truck for use of the Forest Fire Department, and raise and appropriate any sum of money therefor.
Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate any sum of money to pay overdraft on snow removal.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to reconstruct Shearer Street, Depot Village, from Station 33 Southwesterly to Longview Street; and resurface with Type I material the section between Longview Street and Route 181; and reconstruct Calkins Road, Village of Three Rivers, starting at the intersection of Palmer Street and continuing to Turnpike Bridge, and raise and appro- priate by taxation or otherwise any sum of money therefor, said sum to be used in conjunction with monies allotted by the Com- monwealth of Massachusetts and the County of Hampden, or take any action relative thereto.
Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to install a metal guard rail on Baptist Hill Road, Village of Three Rivers, between residences of Nadolski and Motyka, and raise and appropriate any sum of money therefor.
Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to reconstruct Bap- tist Hill Street, from presently improved section of street North- erly a distance of approximately one-half mile, and raise and appropriate any sum of money therefor, or take any action rela- tive thereto.
Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to resurface Pleasant Street, Village of Three Rivers, with Type I bituminous concrete, and raise and appropriate any sum of money therefor, or take any action relative thereto.

Article 63. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate any sum of money for the construction of sewers, culverts and proper catch basins, or take any action relative thereto on the following projects :
(a) Catch basin and drainage on Sykes Street, Village of Three Rivers, near residence of Edward Bachand.
(b) Sewer on Norbell Street, Village of Three Rivers, from residence of one Gladkowski to North Street.
(c) Sewer with necessary catch basins on Main Street, Vil- lage of Three Rivers, from Four Corners westerly to the river at Main Street Bridge.
(d) Catch basin and drainage on South Street, Village of Three Rivers, near residence of Michael Cavanaugh.
(e) Sewer and necessary drainage on Griffin Street, Village of Bondsville, from High Street to Jim Ash Road.
(f) Sewer and necessary catch basins on Main Street, Vil- lage of Bondsville, from end of the present improved road sur- face northerly to Maple Street.
(g) Surface drains as necessary on South High Street, Vil- lage of Bondsville.
(h) Catch basins and necessary drainage on Riverview Parkway. Depot Village.
(i) Sewer and necessary drains on Pleasant Street, Village of Thorndike, from end of present improved surface to Palmer Road, Bondsville.
(j) Replace where necessary the existing sewer on Main Street, Village of Thorndike, from intersection of Main and Com- mercial Streets westerly about 2200 feet to a point opposite resi- dence of Alvin Rondeau.
(k) Extension of sewer in Old County Highway, Village of Thorndike, from the end of existing sewer near residence of George Brown and running to and through the crossover to Route 32 and continuing on Route 32 approximately to the end of Thorndike Rug Mill a distance of approximately 1000 feet.
(1) Sewer in Old County Highway, Village of Thorndike, com- mencing at the end of the existing sewer near residence of George Brown and running to the crossover to Route 32 and approximately 100 feet into the crossover terminating in a manhole; together with necessary sewage pumps.
(m) Sewer in Old County Highway, Village of Thorndike, from the end of existing sewer at residence of George Brown to

the crossover leading to Route 32 and continuing in the cross- over to a point opposite the monument, a distance of approxi- mately 700 feet.

Article 64. To see if the Town will vote to install, maintain and raise and appropriate money for additional street lights as follows :
(a) Lights as necessary to increase illumination on Main Street, in Village of Three Rivers, from Four Corners to Bridge Street.
(b) Lights as necessary on Sibley Street, Barker Street, Edgewood Street, and Chudy Street, Village of Three Rivers.
(c) Lights as necessary to increase illumination on South High Street, Village of Bondsville, from Palmer Road.
(d) Lights as necessary to increase illumination on South Main Street, Village of Bondsville, from State Street to Pine Street.
(e) Lights on Poles No. 2, 4 and 6, Pleasant Street, Village of Bondsville, together with removal of lights from Poles No. 3 and 5 on said Street.
(f) Lights as necessary to increase illumination at junction of Thorndike Road and Palmer Road, Village of Bondsville.
(g) Light on Pole No. 10, Griffin Street, Village of Bonds- ville.
(h) Increase lighting on Pole No. 1 at approach to bridge on Depot Street, Village of Bondsville.
(i) Lights on Fuller Road, Village of Bondsville.
(j) Lights as necessary on Lathrop Street, Depot Village.

Sherman, Town Engineer, according to the fol- lowing description.
Beginning at an iron pin on the Southeasterly side of Deborah Street, at the Northeasterly terminus of 1956 town layout of said street, and running thence N. 61° 49' W. fifty and no/100 (50.00) ieet crossing said Deborah Street to an iron pin; thence turning and running N. 28° 11' E. eighty-eight and 75/100 (88.75) feet to an angle point in said street; thence turning and running N. 25° 04' E. one hundred six and 25/100 (106.25) feet to an iron pin; thence turning and running S. 64° 56' E. fifty and no/100 (50.00) feet crossing said Deborah Street to a point; thence turning and running S. 25° 04' W. one hundred seven and 61/100 (107.61) feet to a concrete bound; thence turning and running S. 28° 11' W. ninety and 11/100 (90.11) feet to the point of beginning.
Said town way is laid out over land of Palmer Realty and Development Co., Inc.
Said street is to be known as Deborah Street.
Article 67. To see if the Town will vote to accept and allow a 'Town way in the Lake Thompson area as shown on plan entitled "Layout of Beech Street Town of Palmer December 28, 1960 Pre- pared by Kenneth C. Sherman, Town Engineer", according to the Following description :
Beginning at a point at the Southerly terminus of the 1953

town layout of Beech Street, on the Easterly side of said street and running thence S. 28° 16' W. forty-two and 75/100 (42.75) feet to a point; thence turning and running S. 27° 55' W. three hundred fifty-four and 18/100 (354.18) feet to a point; thence turning and unning S. 26° 45' W. five hundred eleven and 97/100 (511.97) feet to a point; thence turning and running Southwesterly Westerly and Northwesterly in a curve to the right with a radius of two hundred sixteen and 44/100 (216.44) feet a length of two hundred forty-seven and 56/100 (247.56) feet to a point; thence turning and running N 87° 43' W. two hundred twenty and 45/100 (220.45) feet to a point on the Northeasterly side of Flynt Street; thence turn- ing and running N. 38° 20' W. sixty-five and 87/100 (65.87) feet along the Northeasterly side of Flynt Street and crossing Beech Street to a point on the Northerly side of said Beech Street.
The above description is the Easterly and Southerly location line of said Beech Street. The Westerly and Northerly location line is parallel to and fifty (50) feet distant from the Easterly and Southerly location line. The street is laid out fifty (50) feet in width over land believed to belong to George A. and Doris M. Scott, Margaret L. Brothers, George and Ruth Gladdu, Irene M. and Edgar A. Charland, Andrew Boghosian and First Presbyterian Church of Springfield, Ella J. Patrie, Irving E. and Helen F. Plant, Louise O'Connor, Harry J. and Evelyn B. Anton, Ethel Mitchell, Emilie Dannenfeldt, Stephen J. and Sophie P. Dranka and land of Lake Thompson Civic Association, Inc. and Louise Peritz.
Said Street is to be known as Beech Street.
And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof in some one public place in each of the four villages of the Town, known as the Depot Village, Thorndike, Three Rivers and Bondsville, seven days at least before the hold- ing of said meeting, and by publishing attested copy thereof in at least two issues of the Journal-Register, a newspaper published in said Palmer, the first publication to be not less than seven days before the holding of said meeting.
Hereof, fail not and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk at or before the holding of said meeting.
Given under our hands this fourth day of January, A.D. 1961.
