ART. 9, Voted, unanimously, That the Treasurer be and hereby is authorized with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow during the municipal year, beginning Feb. 1, 1907, in anticipation of the collection of taxes, such sums of money as may be necessary for the current expenses of the Town, but not exceeding the total levy for said year, giving the notes of the Town therefor, payable within one year after the dating thereof.

ART. 16. Voted, That the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars be appropriated to be applied in carrying out the pur- pose of Chapter 502 of the Acts of 1906, the sum to be expended by the School Committee.
ART. 17. Voted, That the wages of the laborers on the highway be Two Dollars ($2.00) per day.
ART. 18. Voted, to instruct the Tree Warden to canvass the entire Town to discover the gypsy and brown tail moths, and that the expense be paid by the Town,

Voted, That the whole matter be left to the Selectmen, with instructions to appoint Three Fire Engineers, in accord- ance with the Statutes.
Voted, That the Selectmen are hereby directed to purchase Seven hundred and fifty feet of Hose, and an equipment for the North part of the Town.
Voted, to appropriate One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for the equipment of the Fire Department, and that the $500 heretofore appropriated for the suppression of liquor nuisance be considered as a part of the said One Thousand Dollars.
ART. 22. Voted, That the Committee on Claims are hereby instructed to appear, in behalf of the Town, before the present session of the General Court, to ask for more borrowing capac- ity for the extension of the Water Works.

ART. 23. Voted, That the matter be referred to the Com- mittee on Claims, with full powers to appear for the Town.

Voted, That the Committee on Electric Lighting be continued and be authorized to prepare a contract with the Lexington Gas and Electric Light Company for the intro- duction of electric light into the Town for public and private uses, said contract to be submitted to a future Town Meeting for its action thereon, and that said Committee be authorized to employ expert assistance, and that the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) be hereby appropriated therefor.
Voted, That the Town adopted the Rules and Requirements of the National Board of Fire Underwriters for the installation of electric wiring and apparatus, and that all the wiring be required to conform to these requirements.

WARRANT.

GREETING.
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lincoln, duly qualified to vote in Town affairs, to assemble in Bemis Hall, on Monday, April, 29th, at 7.30 o'clock P. M., to act on the following articles, viz .:
ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator.
ART. 2. To see if the Town will reconsider the vote passed Feb. 25th, 1907, whereby the Town instructed the School- house Committee, consisting of Edward W. Pope, W. C. Peirce and C. F. Eveleth, to purchase land for school buildings of C. S. Smith.
ART. 3. To see what action, if any, the Town will take in regard to location of schoolhouse lot or buildings, or enact anything in relation to the same.
ART. 4. To elect a Water Commissioner to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Charles F. Eveleth.

ART. 8. Voted, That the present Schoolhouse Committee, consisting of Edw. W. Pope, William C. Peirce and Chas. F. Eveleth, with the addition of Mr. Samuel F. Page, and Mr. C. Lee Todd, be the Committee to build the new schoolhouse.
ART. 9. Voted, with but one dissenting vote, That the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.) is hereby appro- priated for the new school building and its furnishings, and the Town Treasurer is hereby authorized to borrow money from time to time, as necessary, on the notes of the Town for a term not exceeding two years, said notes to be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the Selectmen.
Voted, That the Building Committee are hereby authorized to expend so much of the $50,000 already appropriated, as is necessary for the land and the grading of the same.
ART. 10. Voted, That the Water Commissioners are authorized to extend the water pipes from the present term- inus opposite the house of Mr. James B. Wheeler, to opposite the house of Mrs. Lilian Ryder, provided that before such extension is made, a bond is filed in accordance with the By-Laws, and the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00) is hereby appropriated for the same.
ART. 11. Voted, That the Water Commissioners are authorized to extend the water pipes from the present pipe near the house of Mrs. Bridget Roach to a point opposite the house of the heirs of the late John Flynn, provided that before such extension is made a bond is filed in accordance with the By-Laws.
The guarantee on this extension and the one previously voted shall be 4 per cent.
Voted, That the sum of twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) is hereby appropriated for this extension.

That the Treasurer of the Town is hereby authorized to borrow the sum of $6,800.00 or any part thereof, which sum is the amount of money appropriated at this meeting, together with the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.) appropriated at the Town Meeting, held Sept. 8, 1906, and not heretofore provided for, and for the purpose of borrowing the said six thousand eight hundred dollars, the Treasurer is authorized to issue ,from time to time, the bonds of the Town, in de- nominations of not less than one thousand dollars each; each of which bonds shall be payable in thirty years from the date of issue.
The said bonds shall bear interest payable semi-annually at a rate not exceeding four per centum per annum; shall be signed by the Treasurer of the Town and countersigned by the Selectmen; and the same may be sold at public auction or private sale at the discretion of the Treasurer.
The said bonds shall bear upon their face the words "Lincoln Water Loan." The issue and sale of said bonds shall be made under and conform to, in all respects, the Act now pending before the General Court, granting the Town this authority.

Voted, uninamously, That the Town Treasurer is hereby authorized to borrow the sum of $2,200.00 or any part thereof which sum is the amount appropriated at this meeting for the extension of water pipes, and for the purpose of borrowing the said sum of $2,200.00, the Treasurer is authorized to issue, from time to time, the bonds of the Town, in denom- inations of not less than five hundred dollars each.
The said bonds shall bear interest payable semi-annually at a rate not exceeding 4 per centum per annum; shall be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the Selectmen; and the same may be sold at public auction or private sale at the discretion of the Treasurer.
The said bonds shall bear upon their face the words "Lincoln Water Loan."
The issue and sale of said bonds shall be made under and conform to, in all respects, the provision of Chapter 476, of the Acts of 1907.
ART. 4. Voted, unanimously, That the subject of the introduction of electric light into the Town, the granting of location for poles and lines, and the making of the contract for furnishing light to the Town, be referred to the Selectmen, with full powers to act thereon, and to make a contract in the name of the Town under such terms and conditions as may be approved by the special committee on electric lighting.
The following resolution was unanimously passed:
Resolved, That the subject matter of a memorial stone for the Pilgrim Monument, now building at Provincetown, Mass., be referred to a committee of three, consisting of E. Irving Smith, Charles F. Adams, Julius E. Eveleth.

ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator.
ART. 2. To hear the report of the Special Committee on the new schoolhouse, and act thereon.
ART. 3. To see if the Town will make any further appro- priation for the new school building or for repairs on the old school buildings.

Voted, That the Committee heretofore appointed to build a new schoolhouse, are hereby authorized to build the same substantially in accordance with the modified plans submitted at this meeting.

ARTS. 6 and 7. Taken up together.
Voted, to appropriate the sum of $300 for the repairs on Lee's Bridge, provided that in the judgment of the Selectmen, the same shall be necessary.
ART. 8. Voted, unanimously, That by virtue and in pur- suance of the Act of 1907, Chapter 476, the Town Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized to issue and sell the bonds of the Town to the aggregate principal amount of $10,000.00, dated Sept. 1, 1907. and payable $500.00 thereof on the first

of September in each of the years 1908 to 1927, inclusive, bearing interest at the rate of 4 per centum per annum, payable semi-annually; such bonds shall bear on their face the words "Lincoln Water Loan;" said bonds shall be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by a majority of the Selectmen.
The vote passed April 29, 1907, under Art. 12 is hereby annulled.

In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Lincoln, duly qualified to vote in the election of State and County Officers, to assemble at Bemis Hall, on Tuesday, November 5, at 7 o'clock in the forenoon, to give in their votes for the following officers: viz .: A Governor, Lieutenant- Governor, a Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Attorney-General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a member of the Executive Council from the Sixth Councillor District, a Senator from the Fifth Middlesex Senatorial District, a Rep- resentative in the General Court from the Seventeenth Rep- resentative District in Middlesex, and a County Commissioner and Associate Commissioners, a District Attorney and Sheriff; also any other officers required by law to be chosen in the month of November of the current year.
Also to vote on the Amendment to the Constitution.
