Town Clerk's Report.

TO THE SELECTMEN OF THE TOWN OF ANDOVER :

Gentlemen, - I present to you my Report for the Year 1884.

" Facts about life and death have a perpetual interest and a horrid sort of charm for the average reader. Some recent data in this direction have just been made. They show that in this world there is an average of 70 births a minute, of 100,000 births a day, and 36,792,000 births a year. There is an average of 67 deaths a minute, of 97,790 deaths a day, and of 35,639,835 deaths a year. There are 2010 more births than deaths every day. There are more males than females born."
